Excerpts from the talk at @parco.gallery on creative working conditions: 1) an accidental cat diagram of the very non-diagrammable structure of fanfare; 2) skills chart entanglement; 3) the reality of successful funding applications vs. unsuccessful ones; 4) and fanfare with their @3iguelito -designed “Pokémons” (reused from the Sister System for the Open M Art Fair in Chengdu). Thank you for having me/us @parco.studio 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛ The talk was generously funded by the European Union’ and the Goethe-Institut

Brilliant designer and programmer @robert__milne (with the great @ronja_andersen ) made a beautifully chic and useful update to our cyber home.
Check it out 💫
Appreciation post on the occasion of the ten year anniversary, yes 10(!) of fanfare. Despite of having given birth to two lovely (real) babies since then, this was truly the first one❤️🔥
fanfare continues to be a kind of playground - a laboratory and presentation space - for the wonders, wanders, and critical developments within and related to the means of communication.
Co-initiating and running fanfare was a learning trajectory into thought provoking collaborations, organisational structures, work-health-balances, educational approaches and funding politics.
In the midst of frustrating times and failing systems, gathering communities and places for listening, sharing, wondering and asking small and big questions critically together seems ever more important.
Big love to the large fanfare family and everyone who joined the ride! Come join us for celebratory cakes, drinks, and music tomorrow Saturday at fanfare❤️
Slowing down and turning into summer auto reply mode. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the past six months of stanza 💛

Glitchy, Caring, Tactical! just got published and is freely accessible👀 on APRJA journal published by the Digital Aesthetics Research Center (Aarhus University) with transmediale (Berlin).
Glitchy, Caring, Tactical addresses creative resistance to large-scale commercial digital platforms through transparent server architectures, digital commoning, minor tech, emancipatory multimedia archives, and tactics of glitches🌻

Had the nervous pleasure of presenting “Misplaced, disrupted, dysfunctional” at the transmediale festival for digital art & culture.
"Misplaced, disrupted, dysfunctional” is part of an ongoing research into artistic strategies for reconsidering digital scale. By bringing together artworks from @cosmos_carl , 100 Rabbits, and PING (@lawoodgate , @3iguelito , @saschakrischock ) I presented a tendency across the artistic field to spatialise platforms, embody them and put them on display. In case you missed it there’s an online and printed reader (designed by Varia) produced in a collective editing session for the Digital Aesthetics Research Center (Aarhus University) and Centre for the Study of the Networked Image (London South Bank University) 🐳
