i got into FUTA as just a regular guy, all i wanted was to read my books, graduate, and wear the NYSC uniform ( mum loved that uniform so much ehn 😂) i think i wanted it more for her than for me.
But FUTA had other plans for me. FUTA whispered, “you’re not here to be ordinary, you were made for greatness.”
i still can’t exactly point to how it all happened, but somehow, the same quiet boy became FizzyBankz, a name that rings a bell in almost every corner of FUTA. from just vibes, love, and energy… i found myself winning hearts!
from making people happy whenever i stepped on stage, to becoming the Social Director of FUTA Student’s Union…
to hosting the biggest event the school has ever seen, to reviving a dying social scene and being crowned the best Social Director FUTA has ever had. omo! it was really a divine ride.
more than the titles and the shows, the people that made it real, community that rides for me like family. People who believed in me, supported me, and stood by me! priceless!!! you can’t buy the love anywhere!!
then came “The FUTA Story” a song i made for Futarians. it became an anthem in the school that everyone connected with! the song speaks on the struggle, ups and downs of a random futarian, it wasn’t just music it was our truth.
to winning awards like the Most Popular Guy in FUTA, Most Sociable Male, and more. But beyond plaques and applause, the real win is this, in FUTA, you can’t talk social life without talking FizzyBankz. ask anybody. it feels so goooood.
really not easy to be this loud in Futa, maximum disturbance socially and get to graduate without having an extra year, in the same FUTA that’s known for being all about books and nothing else. i did it proud. i did it my way, and now i’m out -> Bachelor of Technology in Information Systems.💜
to Almighty Allah, i give all glory. 🙇🏾♂️
