Precision × Texture × Phase One 150MP.
美容師の道具は、ただのツールではなく“技術そのもの”だと思っています。
今回は、シザー専門メーカー様のプロダクトを
Phase One中判デジタルカメラ（1億5千万画素）で物撮り。
刃の曲線、削り出しの面、質量感。
肉眼では拾いきれない“素材の表情”をそのまま写し取りました。
静かな造形ほど、ディテールが語ります。

I believe that a hairdresser’s tools are not just instruments—they are an extension of the craft itself.
This time, we photographed a professional scissor maker’s product using a
Phase One medium-format digital camera (150 megapixels).
The curve of the blade, the machined surfaces, the sense of weight—
every subtle nuance of the material that the naked eye cannot fully capture
is rendered exactly as it is.
The quieter the form, the more the details speak.

E. DURANO MFG. CORP.製のEXITサインを設置しました。
FRPパネルに金属フレーム、内部は白熱球2灯の構造。
半世紀を経た今も、当時の光が静かに灯ります。
こうした一点一点に込められた時間や背景を大切に、
空間の中に“物語のあるディテール”を残していきたいと思います。

Manufactured in El Monte, California during the 1960s–1970s,
we’ve installed an EXIT sign by E. DURANO MFG. CORP.
It features a fiberglass panel, metal frame, and dual incandescent bulbs —
still quietly glowing after more than half a century.
We value the time and stories embedded in each piece,
and aim to preserve these meaningful details within our space.

京都、板場摺友禅（いたばすりゆうぜん）
その現場に、足を踏み入れてきました。
型紙を使って手作業で染め上げる伝統技法。
江戸時代に端を発し、量産と美しさのバランスを追求してきた技の結晶。
1色ごとに型を変え、職人が板場で摺り重ねていく。
“人の手”でしか出せない温度とズレが、
唯一無二の表情をつくりだしていました。
デジタルでは再現できない、染めのグラデーション。
五感が研ぎ澄まされる、静かな熱気のある現場でした。
この技術を何か現代の物とのコラボレーションが出来るかどうか思案しています。
Kyoto – Itaba-suri Yuzen
I had the opportunity to step into the workshop where this traditional dyeing technique comes to life.
Itaba-suri Yuzen is a hand-crafted method that uses paper stencils to apply dyes onto fabric—
a technique born in the Edo period, balancing beauty with efficient production.
Each color requires a separate stencil, carefully aligned and applied by skilled artisans on long wooden boards.
This hands-on process creates a subtle warmth and intentional “imperfections”—
expressions that no machine or digital process can replicate.
The gradation of colors, the quiet intensity of the workshop—
it sharpened all five senses.
Now I’m wondering…
Could this historic craft be fused with something modern?
The idea is brewing.

Do Not X-Ray – Zip Pack【カメラフィルム空港エックス線誤通防止ジップパック】を作成しました。
カメラフィルムを飛行機に乗る際エックス線で台無しにするのを防ぐ注意喚起印字付きジップパック。
印字方法はあえてインクジェット印刷を使用せずUSシルクプリントを採用し印刷の雰囲気を出しています。
Do Not X-Ray – Zip Pack
This zip pack is designed to prevent camera film from being ruined by airport X-ray scanners during air travel.
To raise awareness, the pouch features a clear warning message printed not with inkjet printing, but using traditional U.S. silk screen printing to give it a distinctive and tactile finish.
