Rehearsals are underway in Costa Rica as FIU Distinguished University Professor and Composer-in-Residence Dr. Orlando Jacinto García prepares for the international premiere of his new work this Friday, April 24.
The Latin Grammy–nominated Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Costa Rica will perform the work at the Aula Magna in San José under the direction of Alejandro Gutiérrez Mena.
Un espectro sonoro de otro tiempo (“a sonic spectrum from another time”) expands García’s distinctive exploration of sound and time, weaving indigenous instruments into a richly layered orchestral landscape.
