I’ll use this space to share bite-sized videos introducing the composers and pieces I’m preparing for my upcoming concerts in early 2025. The lineup includes plenty of fresh repertoire for me, with works by some lesser-known but seriously fascinating composers. Each piece comes with its own backstory and I find these and the life stories of composers just as captivating as the music itself! I might even throw in a few videos about the classics on my plate, just to give you a little behind-the-scenes insight into their history too. Once rehearsals kick off with the Fitzwilliam Quartet @fitzquartet , I’ll try to capture some musical snippets to share with you. That way, even if you can’t make it to the live performances, you’ll still get a little taste of the music we’re cooking up! Speaking of live music, you can catch us performing Amy Beach’s Quintet for Flute and Strings on Saturday, 18 January 2025, at 7:30 PM at Clare Hall, Cambridge University, and again on Sunday, 19 January, at 6 PM at @kingsplacelondon .
