The first half of May has been packed — and we’re just getting started.
Last weekend I performed at the Rootabaga Jazz Fest with the Alyssa Allgood Sextet and the Rootabaga All-Star Big Band under the direction of Justin Haynes. Always great reconnecting with friends and playing the beautiful Orpheum Theatre in Galesburg.
Next up: celebrating the release of Christian Dillingham’s new album As It Relates To Now this Friday and Saturday at the Green Mill Cocktail Lounge. On Sunday, I’ll be at the Hungry Brain with the Paul Bedal Quartet.
Then it’s off to SFJAZZ for four nights with the Makaya McCraven Band as part of his residency.

I had a wonderful time giving a clinic for Conn Selmer at Pm Woodwind’s Saxophone Pro Day in Evanston! Thanks to everyone for coming out to the event! I also had the chance to try out a bunch of beautiful alto saxophones, which I usually never do. Here’s the order of each video: 1. Supreme 2.
