Gayle Tomimbang is a filmmaker, photographer, and interdisciplinary media artist. Born in Manila, Philippines, and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Gayle’s work explores themes of identity, memory, and cultural displacement. Gayle holds a BA in Film and Media Production from Arizona State University and works full time as a videographer for her alma mater.

over the course of this past year, i’ve been lucky to work with some folks to create this documentary, Duty Free Care. thanks to grant funds from @phxartsculture , I was able to interview filipino/fil-am nurses and get their perspectives on their work, identity, and the historical background of the filipino nurse. thank you so much to everyone who took part and supported the project!!

hey y’all!! i know some of u have already seen, but i’m super excited to announce that i’m a recipient of the 2025 artists to work grant from the city of phoenix✨ thank u @phxartsculture for selecting me - so stoked to see everyone’s work 🌠 and thank you to everyone who lent their eyes and helped me with my application drafts 🫶🏼!
