Ob als Verrückter oder als Genie betrachtet, David Lynch hat die Geschichte des Filmemachens unbestreitbar geprägt. Seine Filme stellen das Surreale und Unheimliche dem Banalen und Alltäglichen gegenüber, um die absurde Wahrheit unserer gesellschaftlichen Realität aufzudecken. Caroline Finns Tanztheaterstück »Eat My Fear« taucht in Lynchs Universum des Surrealismus ein. Hier verschwimmen Realität und Fiktion. Es treffen rätselhafte Personen und Lebewesen aufeinander, die zwischen Träumen und Albträumen leben. Toitoitoi for the revival of BRING NO CLOTHES! Today, Caroline Finn’s dance piece, inspired by Virginia Woolf, returns to our stage. “What should I wear?” Many of us have asked ourselves this question. But if you had been invited to Virginia Woolf’s home in East Sussex, the answer would have been simple: “Bring no clothes; we live in a state of greatest simplicity.” No dress code. No rules of high society. No limits to one’s own truth. For the Saarländisches Staatsballett, Caroline Finn has revised and expanded the piece, which was originally created at the Bern Theatres in 2024, further highlighting its connection to the world of Virginia Woolf. And with the addition of new dancers, new colors, interpretations, and nuances emerge—a breath of fresh air for a piece that has already touched audiences. Bring no clothes; we wish you all involved a wonderful evening and a heartfelt break a leg! ... After last year’s success, “Bring No Clothes” is almost ready to return to the stage. On December 4th at the Alterfeuerwache, the Saarländisches Staatsballett will once again perform Caroline Finn’s iconic choreography.
