First podium result in Freeride after a lot of training and learning. Not only that but managed to pull together a victory against some seriously tough competition. Australia brought the spice to China today 🤙. Happy to be on the podium with a fellow Aussie @finninimm

Another year I get to be surrounded by the best of the best, new and old mates, there isn’t anything better. My only regret is not getting enough (or any) photos with many of the legends I get to spend my time with. 🏔️

Growing up I never felt a big connection to any athletes or competitors on the tv or social media that weren’t tangible, someone I hadn’t met. My role models were the people around me, that I knew as a person. And as small and insignificant to the wider ski community as it is, Falls Creek provided me with plenty of skiers to look up to as inspiration. None as much as @tomcostaski . I am fortunate enough that I got to ski with him occasionally as I grew up, learning something new every time. Watching a professional turn the ski runs I’ve grown up with into a creative playground was pretty mind-blowing.
Cut to today where I consider myself extremely lucky that I still get to continue learning and improving under his guidance as a different kind of athlete.
I consider the new path that I am on as a skier as almost a love letter to Falls Creek and the community I grew up with. To prove to the world that this tiny mountain on the edge of the world can still make a big impression.

Tough conditions out there yesterday at the 4★ Freeride World Tour Qualifier in Hakuba ❄️
Bluebird skies turned flat just minutes before @finnbowes dropped in, but he still put down a solid run on a tricky face.
That’s freeride — you adapt, commit, and send it anyway.

Stoked I could put together a higher risk run and have it pay off so well. Still plenty to improve on (that 360 I wasn’t going nearly fast enough for) but plenty of positives as well. Thankyou everyone for the support, it means the world to me.
