From a blank wall to a growing portrait of the community.
“The Blank Wall” by Studio Thirteen (@studiothirteen_dxb ) and Fujifilm (@fujifilmme ) invites visitors at Alserkal Avenue to become part of a living collective artwork. Portraits captured on Fujifilm X half cameras will be instantly printed using the instax wide printer and added to the space, slowly turning the wall into an evolving archive of the faces, personalities, and creative energy that make up the community.
Swing by between 16–30 May, get your portrait taken, and leave your mark on the wall!

So we didn’t change much… just the colour of the frame, wheels, gears, chain, crank, handlebars, hand grips, brake cables, seat and tyres! Hats off to @retrobikesdubai the mad genius, pulling it all together to create an absolute beaut of a bike!
For once, I went slightly subtle with the design, with faces rising out of the dark green to the light. Opting to let the rest of the paint job do the talking with the popping pink wheel and brake cables, set against the green frame and brown seat and grips. Chefs kiss!

Life started in the 1980s for this bike, as a Panasonic racer. Rescued by Retro bikes, we gave it a make over. Stripping away the tired and chipped paint job, and gave it a Fink upgrade.
