Today I am proud to say that I get to celebrate 5 years of continuous sobriety.
I wouldn’t be sober today if my sobriety were contingent on choices I made alone. I wouldn’t be sober today if I didn’t have a community of people who look out for me and my best interests. I wouldn’t be sober today if I didn’t listen to what other people told me to do. I did not get sober alone- I don’t think anyone does.
