Freemason conspiracy theories originated in the late 18th century, primarily driven by their secretive nature, and their influence among their elite members. Early accusations believed Masons were planning a “world revolution” by controlling religious narratives, and working amongst the shadows, often linking them with the “New World Order” or “The Illuminati”. Freemasonry originated from medieval stonemason guilds, evolving from the “working” & “proactive” masons into the more, “speculative” & “philosophical” masons that we know today, leading to the first Grand Lodge in London in 1717, and countless being produced around the world since then. While their members range from the most prolific figures in history such as George Washington, Ronald Reagan, Mark Twain, and Franklin D. Roosevelt, anyone is allowed to join. If you’re an American, you’ve probably passed a Freemason lodge near you, or may even have a mason in your family or as a friend. While any of my personal opinions are all purely speculative of the organization itself, their secrecy and selectiveness raises a lot of questions, and frankly, it holds a sad familiarity with any groups or fraternity’s involving elites or higher ups. The Epstein files are a massive collection of over 3.5 million pages of documents, videos, and images released by the U.S. Department of Justice starting in late 2025 following the “Epstein Files Transparency Act.” They detail a large-scale sex trafficking ring and heinous activities led by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, including flight logs, emails, and evidence involving public figures. The documents have revealed information regarding various public figures, including U.S. President Donald Trump, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, and Britain’s Prince Andrew, along with business leaders like Bill Gates. Since the release of the files in 2025 and 2026, there have been no related arrests in the U.S., and it has left people across the country and the world feeling hopeless and helpless—that these individuals can continue getting away with whatever they please because of their status and power. In 2023, Trump was found liable in New York state civil cases for sexual abuse and defamation and for business fraud. His administration’s actions including the targeting of political opponents and civil society, restriction of transgender rights, mass deportation of undocumented immigrants, and extensive use of executive orders that have drawn over 550 lawsuits challenging their legality. In Latin America, he pursued a legally contested campaign to attack alleged drug traffickers, and ordered a military raid into Venezuela to capture the country’s president. In February 2026, he authorized joint U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran that resulted in the 2026 Iran war that is still ongoing, and affecting the globe. Since 2015, Trump’s leadership style and political agenda (often referred to as Trumpism) have reshaped the Republican Party’s identity. Many of his comments and actions have been characterized as racist or misogynistic. He has made many false or misleading statements during his campaigns and presidency, to a degree unprecedented in American politics, and he promotes wild conspiracy theories to fuel his followers echo chambers. Trump’s actions have been described by researchers as authoritarian and contributing to democratic backsliding.
