Lately I’ve really been enjoying creating black & grey and opaque tattoos again. Black & grey has actually made up the majority of my tattoo career, even though most people know me more for colour work. Technically opaque *is* colour, but I still approach and build it very much like a black & grey tattoo.
This is part of an ongoing full sleeve project — inner arm mapped out as well — and in this video I show a bit of my process, needle choices, and how I approach building these pieces.
Big thank you to my client for the trust and commitment to such a large project, and also to my friend Jack and everyone at @atramento_studio_bcn_ for being so welcoming and having me out. I’ll definitely be back tattooing more in Spain 🇪🇸

It was a busy week last week. I've been working on a heavy cover up of old tribal for Ian. Started a gap filler on the hand for Alex and a custom design for Ryan. Work in progress! @finalchaptertattoos
I'm getting some amazing results with @quantum_ink_uk with their vibrant colours and some from @dean.gunther ink set.
Also @butterluxe_uk@tattooarmourpro@killerinktattoo always have the good stuff 👍

This was a cover-up done over 1 days.
The previous tattoo was so scarred and raised, I had to shave very carefully so that I dont catch the skin.
Getting a tattoo is permanent, so make sure you do it right the first time.
Her dog is named Rocket, so this is for him!
Luckily, we managed to cover this old tattoo for her.
I used my signature ink set from @quantumtattooinks which will be available worldwide soon!

No stencil. No marker. Just straight to skin.
I’ve been tattooing 19 years, and I’m still trying to push myself out of my comfort zone. This kind of work brings the nerves back in a big way—but that’s exactly why I’m doing it.
It’s easy to get comfortable, but that’s when you stop growing. For me, this is about challenging myself, trusting the process, and seeing what’s possible.
Hopefully it pushes someone else to do the same.
Thanks for the trust Marc🫡🙏

Here's a little clip of @tomlangham1 arm that I got to complete recently. This short video shows me mapping out his inner bicep and then putting another layer ontop to complete it.
I do enjoy opaques 🥰

Nerves don’t mean you’re not ready.
Most of the time… they mean you care.
And that’s where the best work comes from.

After 19 years tattooing… I still get nervous.
People think experience removes pressure — it doesn’t.
You just learn to move through it.

This is just one small part of a bigger process.
I’ve been working on putting together a workshop covering my full approach — from design, colour, and composition through to execution and healing.
If you’re serious about improving your work, drop a comment or message me.

2 days to complete this full sleeve tattoo. Bottom half is healed. Joined the tattoo up, making it a complete sleeve.
