MÉLODIE BLAISON - WORN BY SALT
FIN 3
Worn by Salt is an enveloping performance by Brussels-based artist and flutist Mélodie Blaison.
Recorded live at Le Brass (Brussels) in November 2024, it’s inspired by Adrienne Rich’s poem ‘Diving into the Wreck’, which gives words and the title to the piece.
Conceived by the artist as a ‘descent’, Worn by Salt is an atmospheric journey that delves into the inner abysses.
Mélodie’s flutes - the more classic transverse flute, an indigenous flute and her self-built ceramic water flute Branchía - play haunting tones over hypnotic synth drones, embracing field recordings - water, frogs, crickets, pebbles and breath - to create an intimate universe.
Available as a limited cassette in an edition of 60 as well as in its digital format.

O YUKI CONJUGATE - 1983 UNEARTHED
FINAL IMAGE ARCHIVE FIN 2
Limited edition 12’’ LP + digital
Order on
Previously unreleased, these tracks are the missing link between the band’s Untitled 10” and Scene In Mirage LP. A shadow album to their debut, it shows the inner workings of a group of Nottingham 19 year olds finding thier sound, embracing electronica but moving towards ambient. At times naive but always charming.
1983 Unearthed can be seen as a forerunner to Scene in Mirage, sharing the same format of two opposed and contrasting sides. The U side (tracks 1-6) is compiled from unreleased beat-driven cassettes, while the Y side (tracks 7-10) is primarily from the ambient soundtrack to an early unreleased version of their Peripheral Vision video.
Despite the radically different approaches, this record shows that 1983 was a defining year for the band as they strove to find their sound.
All tracks by Elliott/Horberry/Horberry/Hulme
Except 8 & 9 by Hulme/Orpheus
Design by L.Lot
*there will be a Bandcamp listening party on the 3rd of May at 6pm GMT
The first vinyl release since our label’s reboot is now available for pre-order.
O YUKI CONJUGATE - 1983 UNEARTHED
FINAL IMAGE ARCHIVE FIN 2
limited edition 12’’ LP
This collection of mostly unreleased material is the missing link in the band’s history, slotting neatly between their initial ‘Untitled’ recordings and their debut ‘Scene In Mirage’.
These tracks - culled from dusty cassettes and studio masters lost in the attic for decades - had never been considered before, but OYC are now embracing them as an important part of their history. They show the inner workings of a group of Nottingham 19 year olds who were finding their sound, embracing electronica but moving towards ambient.
‘1983 Unearthed’ can be seen as a shadow album to ‘Scene In Mirage’, sharing the same format of two opposed and contrasting sides: beat-driven electronica and early ambient experiments.

Final Image FIN 1
C40 cassette with O card on 250gsm card and cellophane, edition of 100 numbered copies
‘DIS FAC is a new eponymous collaboration between O Yuki Conjugate’s Andrew Hulme and Tom Fazzini, their first since 2002 when they released as A Small Good Thing (Slim Westerns, etc etc)
DIS FAC is an ambiguous journey though an interior space, an abandoned place in the mind whose empty walls are resonated and rattled into life. Ominous in tone, this 40-minute soundscape - broken into six pieces but designed to be listened to as a whole - opens the door to explore the unlit, hidden spaces within the psyche, searching for clues through sonic experimentation.
DIS FAC is not only the first release of the new imprint of the 80s Final Image label but the first in a series of collaborations between Hulme and Fazzini.’
All tracks by A.Hulme / T.Fazzini
