Guga opened up @filtro.creativelab for an afternoon roasting workshop — walking us through origins, curves, and cupping with the kind of passion that fills a room. People of all ages and backgrounds, all there for the same cup.

☕ Portugal has one of the most fascinating coffee cultures in the world, and this morning was proof.
We started Lisbon Coffee Week with a walk through two Lisbon neighbourhoods, connecting the dots between tradition and innovation.
Wood-fired roasting at @flordaselva — a roastery that’s been going for nearly 100 years and the only one in Europe still roasting on wood fire. Rare varieties you rarely get to taste anywhere else.
A neighbourhood café that O Último Bolo de Arroz is working to preserve.
And @filtro.creativelab , where specialty coffee and genuine hospitality go hand in hand.
So much history. So much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone who came along. 🩷

Kicking off @lisboncoffeeweek the right way! ☕️🇵🇹
I spent the morning on the “Tradicional e Moderno” walking tour, exploring the past and future of Lisbon’s coffee scene. We started at the historic @flordaselva to see their traditional wood-fired roaster, grabbed a classic bica and bolo de arroz in Lapa, and finished with a specialty tasting at @filtro.creativelab .
A perfect blend of history, culture, and (obviously) a lot of caffeine.

Maybe you have noticed, but I love espresso and specialty coffee. When I met Guga - the owner and coffee sommelier of @filtro.creativelab - and he told about his passion for art and that he envisions his space to be a specialty coffee art gallery, I knew that I found what I have always dreamed of when it comes to exhibiting at my own space.
That he happens to be a wine sommelier as well is just the cherry on the cake. 🍒
Two weeks in, I couldn’t be more happy for what have achieved in this space. A perfect fusion of coffee, wine, and art. Come by, have a coffee and enjoy the exhibition it my pairings and rugs. You’ll love it. 🫶

I discovered the technique during the production process of one of the other pieces and I fell in love with it the moment I started two weave two stripes into each other.
The texture looks like a leather-skin you wanna touch and bend. It triggered so many ideas for new pieces. Insane. 😍💥🤟🏾
