Since 2022, Ayesheh Mae has been producing comedy shows at Parkville Market through her production company, @filthycomedy , helping bring laughter and live entertainment to the Hartford community.
What she loves most about what she does: “I get paid to make people laugh, what’s not to love about that? Comedy also lets me be vulnerable, share my truth, and turn real life into art. Getting to do that and connect with people through laughter is honestly the coolest job in the world.”
Her go-to order at the market? Poke bowls from @hartfordpoke , a must every time she visits.
For Ayesheh, Women’s History Month is about representation and building something meaningful: “I built Filthy Comedy myself as a woman-owned business, and I’m proud to show my son that women can build something from the ground up. It’s important to me to celebrate and support women in comedy, especially in an industry that has historically been dominated by men.”
