šŸŽ„2025 Year in Review — Film Loft Productions šŸŽ¬ 2025 was a big one for Film Loft Productions. New projects, new festivals, and new (and returning) collaborators we were excited to work with. Here’s a look back: šŸ§Ÿā€ā™‚ļø Tomorrow Undead We screened at eight festivals and took home six category wins. We built relationships with outstanding horror festivals—Houston Horror Film Fest, Chicago Horror Film Festival, and HorrOrigins—and reached new audiences at Tucson Terror Fest, Scream Fest NOLA, Everything Holiday Film Festival, and Milwaukee Independent Film Awards. This year we also had the chance to collaborate with Jesse Fox and Stephanie Fox, who joined Tomorrow Undead as executive producers and brought fresh energy and insight to the film’s journey. We continued that partnership on Help Us, where they again supported the project as executive producers. 🩸 Help Us Our 2025 entry for the Jakob Owens Horror Short Film Contest landed in the Top 25. Stay tuned for the director’s cut, which dives deeper into the full story. 🌊 Rusalka Our 2024 Jakob Owens entry Rusalka screened at Spooky Empire Horror Film Festival in Orlando, Florida this year—bringing our myth-driven horror short to new audiences. ✨ Lights We brought Lights back to where it was shot, screening at the Mesa International Film Festival. A true full-circle moment for our first short. Thank you to the actors, crew, producers, festival teams, and every collaborator who shaped 2025. We’re already building toward what’s next. šŸ“Follow @filmloftcreative for updates, new work, and behind-the-scenes. #indiefilm #azfilm #azfilmmaker #tomorrowundead #arizonafilmmaking

What actually goes into shooting a grounded indie horror film? šŸŽ¬ In this clip, Director of Photography Casey Fehr šŸŽ„ breaks down how Tomorrow Undead found its visual style — from working within real locations to building a look that feels lived-in, tense, and real.🪦 This is just a piece of the full conversation. šŸ’»In the complete interview, Casey goes deeper into cinematography choices, collaboration with director Dale Thomas Cizmadia, and how this project shaped the way he approaches future films. If you’re a filmmaker, DP, or just curious how indie films actually get made, the full interview is worth your time. Watch the full interview on YouTube — link in bio. Tomorrow Undead cinematography interview, indie film DP breakdown, how to shoot a horror film, behind the scenes filmmaking, Arizona filmmakers, director of photography interview, visual storytelling film, indie horror filmmaking process, low budget film cinematography, filmmaking collaboration.

Big news for us.šŸ“° Tomorrow Undead has been officially selected for the 2026 Phoenix Film Festival. We shot this in Arizona, built it with Arizona artists, and now we get to screen it at a festival in the city that helped shape it. Thank you to the Phoenix Film Festival for including us in this year’s program. The festival runs April 9–19, 2026 at Harkins Scottsdale 101, and we’ll share our screening dates and times as soon as they’re announced. To everyone who acted in it, crewed it, donated to it, shared it, or believed in it - this one belongs to you too. What a day for Tomorrow Undead. See you at the movies. šŸŽ¬šŸŽ„šŸæ

šŸŽ„What a cool private event at Pollack Cinemas in Tempe. We packed the house with friends, family, collaborators, and the casts and crews from the past three years to celebrate six short films: F69, Lights, City of Stars, Rusalka, Help Us, and Tomorrow Undead. We also had the chance to showcase Monique Michelle and Jeff Lane’s film The Last Train, which was a great way to round out the program. It’s easy to spend years grinding away on indy films and forget to stop and look around at what’s actually been built. Seeing that many people in one room who helped bring these projects to life was incredible. Grateful to everyone who came out and to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far. Moments like this don’t happen often. Excited for what comes next. Many thanks to šŸ“ø @jamessdeak for capturing the event.

A Day of Shorts. Six films. Three years of work. One unforgettable afternoon at Pollack Cinemas. Yesterday we screened Lights, Rusalka, F69, City of Stars, Help Us, and Tomorrow Undead for cast, crew, friends, and family. Seeing them all together with the people who made them possible hit different. To every actor who trusted the vision, every crew member who showed up on early calls, every collaborator who said yes when they could’ve said no—thank you. None of this happens without you. Huge gratitude to Casey Fehr and Fehr Films for being my collaborator behind the camera, Korbin Christie for running everything from schedules on films to email campaigns and producing Tomorrow Undead to even the projector for the event—without you this day isn’t possible—and to Jesse Fox for setting it up. Thank you to Pollack Cinemas for hosting us. This is what it’s all about. Community. Collaboration. Stories worth telling. On to what’s next. šŸŽ¬

Whoopsie! The Social Media Manager for the Film Loft account (me) forgot to include this in our end of year carousel so it gets its own post! (I mean like c’mon January was AGES ago). City of Stars was an awesome opportunity to work with A3F and to place second overall at their 72-hour film challenge. This was such a meaningful piece. We got to collaborate with Fehr Films and work with the incredible crew that we’ve come to call friends on this magical realism piece. Such a great opportunity and the folks over at A3F couldn’t have been more supportive or better partners for this film challenge, AND they even added Support to our Tomorrow Undead Seed & Spark campaign!
