Film AlUla joined the “Building the Next Generation of Film Ecosystems” roundtable at the Cannes Film Festival, organised by Screen International in partnership with Association of Film Commissioners International, to discuss how emerging production hubs are building sustainable, production-ready environments through infrastructure, collaboration, and local talent development.

📣 Open Call - Scriptwriting residency
Villa Hegra (@villahegra ) and Film Alula (@filmalula ) launch a call for application for a new screenwriting residency, developed in partnership with Le Groupe Ouest (@legroupeouest ) and LIM² (@limprogramme ) 🎬
From July to October 2026, up to 8 international screenwriters developing original feature film projects will take part in an immersive residency between Brittany, France and AlUla, Saudi Arabia.
Designed as a space for experimentation, dialogue and collective development, the programme will support projects in their early stages through workshops, collaborative sessions and creative exchanges.
