Two tier filming platform install for filming of Lar Gibbons in Thailand.
Wildlife cameraman @graham_hatherley in the penthouse. We spent four weeks rigging platforms and cable cams in this forest during filming of @natgeo Supernatural and it was sooo good being in the trees with the gibbons and some worryingly large squirrels.
Spot the gibbons?

Creating solutions. Rigging our tangent camera pole for @blackbarkfilms in Sherwood Forest. A beautiful and wonderful couple of days in the ancient forest with an equally beautiful crew. 🙏

The view from the bottom of the tree. On the small island of land, which was once the roof, is a small coffee plantation, which was tended each day by the owner of the land. He would climb down an old hawser laid rope hand over hand and then free climb back up the tree roots via a series of machete cut hand holds.
Pretty committing crux near the top.

From the September @remote_ropes_ltd Wilderness rigging workshop. A fine week with fine folk and fine rigs.

Back in September @remote_ropes_ltd held a wilderness rigging workshop out of Bristol. There was some serious talent and some epic rigging. Learned a lot and met some fine folk. If you’re into your rope rigging and want to take it to the next level keep your eye’s peeled for the next workshop.

Morning everyone.
2024 and 2025 were challenging years for a lot of folk in the TV and film industry and tested the resolve of many.
Is 2026 going to see a change of fortunes within the industry? It somehow feels different as we go into the new year, and I’m still stubbornly refusing to move away from the work I love to do. Despite near financial collapse and an ongoing internal conversation surrounding the wisdom of this decision I’m going with believing in 2026 and just wanted to let everyone know that, should you have the requirement to put a film crew in a hammock 50 metres up a tree in the Amazon forest, then I would be delighted to chat. It’s also possible I could get some half-decent, non-pro images on location as a bonus. 😃
Also available for platforms, hammocks, cable cams, rope access, technical rope rigging, and on-location rope-based safety in all environments and locations.
Have a wonderful 2026
See you on location 🙏
