Today is the day… I am so proud to introduce LARKSPUR & LINEN. My newest collection for MODA FABRICS. Fig Tree has gone full “cottagecore” with this group. The collection is filled with both cottons & LINENS in soft colors and wonderful textures! I might be just a little bit obsessed and will be using them for SO MANY different projects over the next months. And guys… the LINENS are so soft and such an incredible add to our quilting journey! I cannot wait to bring you along with me as we sew with these fabrics together. Over the years, the Cotswolds area of the British countryside has become our family’s absolute favorite place to visit. The villages, the cottages, the history, the green rolling hills, the antiques and the sheep! These fabrics are my take on life in a Cotswolds village. I cannot wait to share all the quilts, the projects and show you some behind the scenes sewing. I will be sharing much more next week at the H&H trade show in Chicago. Today, I have put together a fun trunk show for you of all the brand new SUMMER’S END patterns. I hope you come on over to YouTube, grab a cup of tea and enjoy the show! The line up includes SPIKY ROSE, GERTRUDE, MAISY DAISIES, GARDEN ROSEHIPS and CAMEOS. I share about what precuts I used, show close ups on the quilting, and talk about each quilt a bit. Patterns will be ready soon as they are in the final stages of getting ready to print!

We don’t normally do this... But we have received SO MANY requests for this BLOCK OF THE MONTH SAMPLER pattern to be released and available for everyone that we just couldn’t say no. For those of you who have been wanting an heirloom sampler to work on this year for the 250th anniversary or for any other reason, this might just be your chance. This is one of our most popular samplers [originally only available to those in the actual program] from a few years ago and it is one that has become a fan favorite around here. It is quintessentially “Americana” summertime in style and something that you can work on over the course of the year and enjoy for decades to come. Introducing the APPLE BLOSSOM ROAD SAMPLER pattern!! A few things you will want to know: • Read the pattern description carefully to know what other patterns you need to complete this as shown. • The description also has all the info we could come up with for material suggestions to make this as close to the original as possible • The pattern is laid out in 12 months, working a set of blocks at a time, to make the sampler less overwhelming • My current ROSIE collection paired with my EYELET basics are a perfect substitute for the original fabrics used [those were from FRUIT COCKTAIL, EYELET and a few mix ins from other MODA designers] • If you are not familiar with my EYELET basics, I would recommend grabbing some of the suggested colors at a local quilt shop that carries them [or on our website if you don’t have a LQS] and use those to “match to” when you are hunting around shops. • You will also want to start collecting your favorite soft “low volume” cream and ivory prints for the backgrounds Link to the pattern is in the BIO above or you can comment APPLE in the comments here and we will send the info straight to you! It’s that time again! We’ve partnered with @fatquartershop for their third SEWCIALITES quilt along. Our block contribution is called BACK PORCH and is a variation of one of my very favorite classic quilt blocks - the ROLLING STONE. Honestly I love this block in every variation I have ever made! This one is made in a variety of ROSIE fabric and is a perfect fit for the summer don’t you think? We loved making the block so much we decided to make a whole quilt of them and offer a fun, free layout to put them together. I was so excited to hear that my SUMMER’S END fabric collection would be arriving early. It’s already popping up in quilt shops and I can’t wait to see what you make with it. We have lots of projects planned for this summer... feels like a perfect pairing for SUMMER’S END, don’t you think?! The calm before the #figfarmretreat . Once a year we host an event that we look forward to all year. And every year I get so busy that I forget to post much of anything.
