Another general strike is currently taking place across the country, targeting the ruling bourgeois regime and its attempted neoliberal reforms.
Amid the strike, newly leaked documents showing plans by the regime to collude with the CIA and kill leftist leader Evo Morales have ignited a wave of fury and urgency among indigenous, peasant and working class communities, who have rallies to Morales' defence and shut down critical infrastructure across Bolivia.

As Milei continues to plunge Argentina further into an economic abyss, opposition in the country is hardening.
In recent weeks communist congresswoman Myriam Bregman went viral on social media for her rallying speech to crowds on May Day, where she called for the escalation of the class struggle and expansion of the general strike to bring down Milei.
Myriam has also gained support in Argentina for being an outspoken voice against the government's support for Israel, pledging her oath of allegiance to a "free Palestine".

Rioters in the central Dutch town of Loosdrecht set fire to shrubs at an asylum shelter on May 12, and briefly even blocked local firefighters from reaching the scene. At least 15 asylum seekers are believed to have been trapped inside during the assault.
Firefighters were initially prevented from accessing the blaze, as the protestors positioned themselves in the way of emergency services trying to reach the site, but were later reported to have extinguished the blaze without injuries to asylum seekers or staff.
Violent protests against asylum seekers and their accommodation facilities have been flaring up all over the Netherlands in recent weeks, as a new law, which obliges municipalities across the country to provide a proportionate share of asylum placement, is due to come into effect on July 1.
As of May 2026, far-right and right-wing populist parties are leading or experiencing significant surges in polls across major European nations, notably in France, Germany, and the UK.
