There are new plans released to open California’s coast to offshore drilling for the first time in decades. BUT WE CAN STOP THIS! 🌊✨💖
California’s coast is part of the California Current Large Marine Ecosystem, one of the most productive ocean regions on Earth, supporting over 36 species of marine mammals, more than 180 species of seabirds, and five species of sea turtles. Our kelp forests alone provide nursery habitat for over 1,000 species and support a commercial fishing industry worth $1.5 billion annually. The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary protect some of the most biodiverse waters in North America.
Let’s be real, we need a healthy ocean way more than these oil CEOs need another private jet…

Right before I left for the islands I sat a sweat lodge where I prayed to the waters. In a society worshipping combustion how can we balance the elements?

**STOP THE PUBLIC LAND SELL-OFF**
The Senate just introduced the LARGEST PUBLIC LANDS SELL-OFF IN U.S. HISTORY — putting THREE MILLION ACRES of Forest Service and BLM land on the auction block, including the sacred Yuba River and much of the sierras.
This is part of the ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL, a massive budget package being pushed through the reconciliation process — which means NO PUBLIC DEBATE and no 60-vote protection.
🛑 These lands aren’t SURPLUS — they include places we hike, camp, fish, and rely on for clean water, climate stability, and wildlife.
🛢️ The bill prioritizes oil, gas, and timber interests, weakens environmental protections, and even lets developers pay to BYPASS PUBLIC REVIEW.
We still have time to stop it.

This incredible ocean offers us healing, livelihood, nourishment, and is the home of so many incredible creatures. We absolutely cannot let this happen.
