The installation begins with light in its purest form. Before image, narrative, or object fully emerge, projected light unfolds across the welcome space with enough depth to feel almost architectural. It sets the tone for the exhibition and introduces the sensory language the rest of the journey grows from.
Created for @kia.worldwide during Milan Design Week 2026.

We’re excited to share Journey of Projection, now open in Milan for @kia.worldwide . 💛
Built for Kia’s first concept car exhibition at Milan Design Week, the installation moves through a series of sensorial environments, using light and sound to translate the brand’s Opposites United philosophy into an experience people can move through and feel.
On view until 26 April. Museo dei Tessuti Via San Gregorio 29, Milan

Last week at @digitaldesigndays Milano, FIELD.IO founder @marcuswendt spoke about the future of experience design, and somewhere along the way, the talk became more personal than expected.
What started with technology, adaptive environments and the growing value of physical space also opened into memory, upbringing and the moments that shape how we understand place, emotion and connection.
That felt fitting, because the strongest experiences rarely come from technology alone. They come from spaces that give people something to feel, remember and share.
At @ibm Think 2026, we’re bringing together a selection of our work with IBM.
It’s also a chance to celebrate a partnership we’re proud of, one that has grown over many years through trust, curiosity, and a shared ambition to make complex intelligence feel more open, engaging, and meaningful in public.
From interactive sports formats 🏎️ to music discovery 🎵 to public-facing installations ⚙️, these projects offer a broader view of a collaboration that continues to evolve with new technologies, new audiences, and new cultural contexts.
The final space of Journey of Projection was shaped around the Vision Meta Turismo and its three worlds: Dreamer, Speedster, and Gamer. In @kia.worldwide ’s own language, these are distinct forms of immersion shaped by mood, profile, and driving sensibility; for the exhibition, they became a light- and sound-led environment where future mobility could be felt as atmosphere, character, and possibility. 🎇

For @kia.worldwide at Milan Design Week, the vehicle spaces in Journey of Projection were built around light as an atmospheric, behavioural, and emotional cue. 🌠
Soft blooms, drifting fragments, gradual gradients, radiance, resonance, and immersion shaped the visual language of each room, giving every environment its own mood while carrying the journey forward through contrast, colour, and sensation.

Behind our latest editorial piece, When Machines Begin to See Aesthetics, sits a wider set of R&D explorations. 🤍🪽 Many of the questions in the essay came from working through generative workflows in practice, pushing visual directions, watching them converge, and noticing when something less clear and more interesting began to emerge.
We can’t wait to share the work we’ve created for @kia.worldwide during Milan Design Week — more to come on 23 April. 🩵

Comment “machines” to get our latest piece in the Creative Intelligence series. 💗
When Machines Begin to See Aesthetics looks at what we’ve been calling artistic intelligence — a condition where generative systems begin to organise visual material with their own internal logic.
The piece looks at how this shifts the process from defining toward selecting, how authorship spreads across the interaction, and how direction can slip without anything visibly going wrong. It also touches on what it takes to keep a clear point of view when most options already feel easy to move forward with.
We were named one of @fastcompany ’s Most Innovative Companies of 2026 in Retail!
Over the past year, our work has been circling a simple shift in thinking: what if a space could register what’s happening inside it and adjust in real time?
Retail still operates between two mismatched systems: advanced personalisation online and static environments offline. We focus on closing that gap at an infrastructural level, turning physical spaces into systems that respond to behaviour as it unfolds.
That shift sets a new standard for how environments operate, embedding adaptability and letting experience evolve with context and use.
