My journey here felt like a thriller: from the poorest country, facing death, and years of struggle until 2016. That lived experience is the engine of my advocacy in Global Health.
The path is not easy, but I trust in the quiet persistence to manage whatever comes next. The fight is worth it.

Als junger Mann wollte er sich das Leben nehmen. Heute zählt er zu den 100 wichtigsten Persönlichkeiten im Bereich Gesundheit (Time Magazine Preisträger). Er überlebte als Kleinkind in Burkina Faso die tödliche Bakterieninfektion Noma und später einen Suizidversuch. Strub hat erreicht, dass die WHO Noma als vernachlässigte Tropenkrankheit anerkennt, und wurde dafür vom Time Magazine in NY ausgezeichnet 🚀

Centered around professional basketball player Deeshyra Thomas and her journey with ALBA Berlin’s women’s team, the film goes beyond the game to reveal the unseen battles behind performance, pressure, and purpose.
Through intimate storytelling, The Color Of Strength confronts racism, exclusion, disability advocacy, and the lived realities of women in professional sports connecting personal struggles to wider social issues that continue to shape opportunity and identity.
