Fibre Circle is helping turn public employment into long-term opportunity. ♻️In partnership with DFFE (@dffenvironment ) and Lejweleputswa District Municipality, we are proud to support the expansion of the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) into the first-of-its-kind EPWP Cleaning, Greening & Recycling Project.
Through this initiative, 550 EPWP participants will be trained to collect recyclable materials, understand the recycling value chain, and form cooperatives that can grow into sustainable waste businesses.
To help them begin safely and with dignity, Fibre Circle also gifted all participants with PPE as they start their journey as future Waste-preneurs. With support from our buy-back centre partners, GreenKid and Big Malaisha, this project is helping build cleaner communities, local livelihoods, and a stronger circular economy.
