𝟭𝟮 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝘄ü𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗻 𝗳ü𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗚ö𝗿𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻, 𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗵𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘇𝘂𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗳𝘁𝘀𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗱𝘁𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸, jenseits aktueller Zaundebatten.
Die Arbeiten, die im Rahmen eines Masterstudios der Landschaftsarchitektur an der TU-Berlin im Wintersemester 24/25 entstanden sind, zeigen Lösungsvorschläge, die ihre Qualität und Innovation durch die geschickte Weiterentwicklung des Vorgefundenen entwickeln.
Die Ausstellung findet vom 08.01.-06.02. im Bezirksamt-Friedrichshain Kreuzberg, Yorckstraße 4-11, 1. OG,10965 Berlin statt.

Die Summerschool SNDHSN! * TU Wien, UC Santiago, TU Berlin, Technion Haifa, TU Delft und Veldacademie Rotterdam - das sind 5 Länder mit rund 50 Studierenden, die mit Handwerkern von nah und tern zusammenarbeiten. Max bringt zum Beispiel das Handwerks-Know-how mit, Felix leitet das Bushaltestellendach-Projekt, Carla und Ariel gestalten gemeinsam die Sitzbank für die Bushaltestelle.
& Ein Highlight? Zirkuläres Bauen! Im Terrazzoboden stecken alte Porzellanteller, Glasscherben und Gestein aus dem Dorf.
Leuchtend pinke Details sorgen für farbliche Akzente, dank der rosa Platten aus Rotterdam.
• Unterstützt von Landengel e.V., Stiftung Landleben und eben uns - der Sto-Stiftung. Be Connected bedeutet: Menschen zusammenbringen, die sich sonst vielleicht nie begegnet wären!

🎯 Was macht diese Summerschool SNDHSN so besonders? Alle wollen wiederkommen! Denn hier passierte im September 2025 etwas, was man im normalen Uni-Alltag selten erlebt: Deine Ideen werden tatsächlich gebaut! Und plötzlich merkst du, wie bereichernd es ist, wenn @maxbiebricher aus Hamburg sein Handwerks-Know-how einbringt oder wie eine Studentin aus Israel dich mit neuen Perspektiven inspiriert.
🔄 Das Schöne? Es geht weiter! Prof. Ralf Pasel und seine Architektur-Studierenden kommen im Wintersemester für die 6. Bauhütte zurück. Dann wird's wieder richtig spannend, denn es geht an die innere Umnutzung des Gebäudes. Was heute noch leer steht, wird Schritt für Schritt zu einem Ort, an dem sich das ganze Dorf wieder trifft. Hier wird dann wieder fleißig zusammen mit Handwerker:innen geplant, gebaut und reused.
🌱 Dieser Lernort wächst mit jedem Semester weiter. Heute die Außenhaut und Zugänglichkeit, morgen die Innenräume. Wie @ingeborgtotzke , Stiftungsrätin Handwerk, es treffend formuliert: „Ein Ort, an dem sich Hand und Kopf verbünden." Genau das passiert hier – Theorie und Praxis schaffen gemeinsam etwas Bleibendes. 🤝

Last Saturday we celebrated the delivery of the Design & Build summer school projects with the villagers of Sundhausen, their mayor, and students and professors from across Germany and abroad. The project aims to realize new infrastructures for care, support, welfare, and community building.❤️
Team Veldacademie/TU Delft presented the MATlib exhibition pavilion. The library, created in previous TU Berlin \ CODE workshops, inventories materials and objects in the village, including location, measurements, properties, and state of maintenance. The goal is to exchange knowledge on re-using material and circular construction. For example, the terrazzo terrace floor, made from waste glass, porcelain, and tiles, delivers barrier-free access to the community building.
We believe cities can learn from experiments in small villages like Sundhausen. To promote international exchange on circularity, the expo pavilion will travel to Rotterdam and Berlin. It’s designed to be lightweight, transportable, and expandable with new banners.💨

The second edition of the DesignBuild Academy has begun — and of course The Veldacademie is back! 🙌
Together with students and professionals, we’re rolling up our sleeves in Sundhausen, a small village in Thuringia, Germany.
This year is all about building functional structures like furniture, façades, and even a bus stop — while bringing the local community closer together. Most of it is made with reused materials such as wood, textiles, and even the iconic pink beams we brought from Rotterdam Architecture Month’s rooftop podium. ♻️✨
