Curated by @gage_gage_gage @ffttnw thank you! I will explain this mural more soon, but it is a painting of an orca and the symbols around it are representative of threats to the orca population around the Seattle area. Thank you @erlinadonesgeffrard for sketching the initial shape of the orca right before you got on your flight at 5 AM and right before I developed the idea behind the painting. Farewell for now Seattle.

400 ACRES & A POOL Erlin Geffrard & Spencer Keeton Cunningham Opening Thursday May 7, 5-9pm RailSpur Studios, L3 Over the past two decades, @erlinadonesgeffrard and @spencerkeetoncunningham have produced sustained, rigorous work examining ongoing colonization in the Americas and the shortcomings of an American dream that has disenfranchised Black and Indigenous communities. Their practice combines critical inquiry with wit, addressing subjects such as climate change, Black histories, and Indigenous rights while exploring themes of gentrification, land restitution, and the reclamation of histories and imaginaries. Erlin Geffrard (Haitian American) and Spencer Keeton Cunningham (Colville Tribe, Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation) lived and worked together as artists for nearly twenty years in the Bay Area and beyond. Their visual language has been exhibited widely—in galleries and museums from New York to San Francisco, and internationally in Vancouver BC, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Guangzhou, China, and elsewhere. Known for multimedia approaches, they have developed formats such as “video paintings” and “audio paintings,” which have been shown in museums and galleries worldwide. Their collaborative projects have included exhibitions at institutions such as SFMOMA and the Wenying Highland Art Museum in Guangzhou. Their recent practice includes community-engaged work in Gary, Indiana, and an ongoing tour that will bring new projects to Vancouver BC, Bellingham, and Seattle. Performing under the moniker AI INDIAN & SUPER KREYOLA in recent presentations, they will present an exhibition and an interactive performance at Railspur Studios in Seattle. Geffrard and Cunningham’s work extends beyond conventional exhibition formats, fostering dialogue and participation while contributing to contemporary conversations about art, history, and social justice.

Forest for the Trees and @FWC26Seattle are teaming up to welcome the world, celebrate soccer, and showcase artists this summer!  @danablume760 (b.1993) is a Seattle based painter. He earned his Bachelors of Fine Arts in drawing and painting at the California State University of Long Beach in 2019 and a Masters of Fine Arts in the same discipline at the University of Washington in 2023. His work has been exhibited in the US, England, Italy, and Singapore.  “My painting for FIFA 2026 Seattle captures the speed, dynamism, and symbolism of soccer rather than offering a literal depiction of the sport. Through bold color, playful characterizations, and expressive mark-making, I present an uninhibited celebration of the game.” We’re unveiling 14 new Art Frames between now and June. Find them all featured on the Unity Loop inside the SEA&WIN mobile app game. Explore the city, earn points, win prizes, and even score World Cup match tickets on us. Forest for the Trees and @FWC26Seattle are teaming up to welcome the world, celebrate soccer, and showcase artists this summer!  Working mostly in oil painting and muralism, @devin.liston began his career as part of several collaborative art teams, including CYRCLE and DEVNGOSHA, before going solo at the end of 2014. Drawing inspiration from utilitarian objects, sports, bugs, and imagery from his childhood, Liston’s process is intuitive and direct, while also referencing relationships, time, existence, space, and otherworldly interventions. “The language of sports has helped me to create a dialogue between myself and the universal nature of competition in everything that exists,” he says. “The World Cup painting is meant to capture the different movements of soccer balls while being kicked or headed. Showing different styles of attacks flying through the air.” We’re unveiling 14 new Art Frames between now and June. Find them all featured on the Unity Loop inside the SEA&WIN mobile app game. Forest for the Trees and @FWC26Seattle are teaming up to welcome the world, celebrate soccer, and showcase artists this summer!  @niccatnite is a Seattle-born artist specializing in realism, with a focus on murals and pet portraiture that emphasize detail, scale, and a strong sense of presence. Through realism, she explores how everyday imagery can take on new meaning when brought into public space. “I wanted the piece to feel simple but strong, something that reflects both Seattle and the way soccer brings people together across cultures, generations, and backgrounds. For this mural, I chose a soccer ball paired with Pacific rhododendrons, Washington’s state flower, because I liked the idea of combining something bold and recognizable from the game with something local and organic. Flowers brighten people’s day, and I thought it would be nice to bring a little nature into Pioneer Square while also giving flowers to the love of the game. Realism is an important part of my work because I want the subjects to feel present, familiar, and almost like they naturally belong in the space. Being part of something connected to this moment for Seattle means a lot, and I hope the mural reflects both pride in place and the excitement of what’s coming to the city.” We’re unveiling 14 new Art Frames between now and June. Some ancient collaborative work by @erlinadonesgeffrard and I. This first piece was a collaboration between Erlin, myself and @einesigns Ben coated the canvases in concrete and speckled some gold on them. Then Erlin and I went to town and titled them the “Acrylic on Concrete” series. This particular painting is about an alternate history if you went back in time and gave North American Indigenous people as well as people from the continent of Africa different weapons technology. The lower class in this scenario are the money eaters. “AI INDIAN & SUPER KREYOLA” New paintings by Erlin Geffrard & Spencer Keeton Cunningham Opening reception May 1st at Geheim Gallery 5-9pm 1228 Bay St. Bellingham, Washington Exhibition runs from May 1st-24th @erlinadonesgeffrard @geheimgallery #spencerkeetoncunningham #erlingeffrard #aiindianandsuperkreyola “400 ACRES & A POOL” New paintings by Erlin Geffrard & Spencer Keeton Cunningham Opening reception May 7th at Railspur Studios Gallery 5-9pm 419 Occidental Ave S Seattle, Washington Exhibition runs from May 7th - June 19th @erlinadonesgeffrard @ffttnw #spencerkeetoncunningham #erlingeffrard 400acresandapool

Forest for the Trees and @FWC26Seattle are teaming up to welcome the world, celebrate soccer, and showcase artists this summer!  Philadelphia native @theartofalbaseer is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose bold, throught-provoking work commands attention and rewards careful study. Initially finding success as a recording artist collaborating with powerhouse artists including Pharrell Williams, Holly has evolved into a self-taught visual artist currently living on the West Coast.  “This mural represents the contributions of those who look like me in the game of European football (soccer). Representation on the global stage is something that is very important to me as an artist.  My piece shows the constant forward progress that is happening on the field literally and figuratively as the collage elements are made up of the past, present and future greats of the sport. I hope to inspire more people to watch, digest and understand the sport and feel included.” We’re unveiling 14 new Art Frames between now and June. Such a pleasure getting to work on this piece for FIFA World Cup Seattle @fwc26seattle with @ffttnw , a big thank you to @gage_gage_gage for choosing me to be apart of such a beautiful collaboration of sport and culture. When I was asked to do this piece I wanted to bring a piece of home for Egypt to see themselves in a home that is far away from their own. What bigger expression of home is there than the mothers who raised us? So honored to bring this portrait of a dear friend’s mother to life to celebrate this moment for the world. أم الدنيا or Mother of the World. 🪬🧿✨💋💕🌸🌍🇪🇬⚽️. NORTH AFRICA TO THE WORLD BABY!! Forest for the Trees and @FWC26Seattle are teaming up to welcome the world, celebrate soccer, and showcase artists this summer!  Sa’rah “Rah” Melinda Sabino is a Moroccan-American multimedia artist from Boston, MA, based in Portland, OR. Her work explores identity, duality, culture and belonging through painting, sculpture, and installation. This mural by @sneakhersole centers an Egyptian woman wearing her national team’s jersey as a hijab, transforming a symbol of sport into one of identity, protection, and pride. The phrase “Mother of the world,” written in English and Arabic, references Egypt’s cultural legacy while honoring the strength and presence of women as carriers of history and belonging. Building on her ongoing practice, Sabino uses the jersey-hijab as a bridge between cultures, as well as asserts visibility, identity and self-definition. Created for the 2026 World Cup, the mural reframes sport as a space not just of global unity, but of layered identity and quiet resilience. We’re unveiling 14 new Art Frames between now and June. Forest for the Trees and @FWC26Seattle are teaming up to welcome the world, celebrate soccer, and showcase artists this summer!  @caratoes is a Belgian–Hong Kong multidisciplinary artist creating monumental portraits of women of color that explore identity, emotional excavation, and inner duality. Working across large-scale murals, installation, painting, and performance, her practice grew from graffiti in Hong Kong after early creative work in Amsterdam and at Wieden+Kennedy. Living nomadically for over a decade, she has been commissioned internationally, including projects for the Facebook office in Hong Kong, transforming public and private spaces into powerful reflections of cultural hybridity and self-discovery. Created for the FIFA World Cup, “Red Devils” is a tribute to Belgium’s national team and the unifying power of football. The composition draws from the bold red, yellow, and black of the Belgian flag, grounding the piece in national pride and identity. Circular elements echo the form of a soccer ball, symbolizing movement, momentum, and the way sport transcends borders to connect cultures worldwide. In the background, a cedar tree branch honors the Indigenous peoples of Seattle, where the match will be held, acknowledging the land’s native heritage and weaving local cultural respect into a global celebration of sport.
