'My Body Is A Vessel, Beaten And Dissected' is in Textural Tendencies at SCA's Backspace Gallery and I realised I never gave it a proper post! so exciting to show it outside the context of my BFA body of work and with that, from the front.
a disembodied self portrait of sorts that started with stitching my name into a morgan boxing bag. trying not to be too harsh on myself and finally posting part of the video 'Jab Cross, Jab Cross (Relentless)' that I filmed in my studio over 3 days.

almost can't believe I made it but here's to the grad show! I couldn't be more grateful for the support from the friends I made at @nas_au , the incredible teaching, my family and friends on the outside that kept me sane and @sydneyhookers for helping me love boxing again.
still reeling from the hectic opening nights, thank you to everyone who came not just for me but for my hard working peers.
the grad show is still up for two more days, closes this Sunday the 14th. my work is upstairs in the main gallery and mezzanine of building 5. my profile on the sales/catalogue website is in my bio. lots of love, I'll be back for more :)

more developed music drawings.. i've realised i haven't really explained what i'm doing, but i'm drawing what i hear/see while i listen to specific songs! documenting the process has been really interesting because i don't think i emphasise enough that i'm making the marks WITH parts of instruments! i've mostly been using a pick and acoustic guitar string that i've turned into a brush of sorts. i'm hoping to capture the mental-visual aspect of sound and explore whether other people can "see" what i hear too. currently figuring out the best way to display and post these with their individual song because my favourite part has been sitting back and watching the drawing come to life while listening to its song again :)
