I need to give a huge shoutout to my cousin Carlos for killing it on restoring my ‘73 Volkswagen Kombi T2. It wasn’t just a simple orange-to-blue paint job; this thing was plagued with dents/bondo issues, broken original parts, and RUST. A typical shop wouldn’t have even touched it let alone charge an arm and a leg for all the work it needed, but Carlos took on this project as if it was his own car and restored it to a level I’m really happy with. I highly recommend him if you’re interested in autobody repairs, paint jobs, mechanical/electrical work (he even did the wooden roof racks on top). You can reach him on his TikTok where you can also see the restoration journey of the Smurf (that’s the nickname he gave it so I’m sticking with it).
