Fever Recordings podcast 059 with @aspekthedip Aspekt has firmly established his reputation within the Maltese underground music scene as a regular feature both behind the decks and on the local dancefloors. Now based in Berlin, he continues to carry that same energy and passion into new territories. As a DJ, Aspekt has crafted a distinctive sound that is deeply rooted within rhythm, baselines, and continuous groove with adaptability being his standout trait. His extensive music library encompasses a vast range of influences which act as a testament to his unwavering commitment to versatility at the heart of his dynamic sets. In 2018, he has co-founded the local promotion ‘Selekt’ with other like-minded individuals which set off a string of events across the Maltese archipelago from it’s inception up to the present day. With sets across the last few editions of Glitch Festival and another on the horizon for 2025 together with Etched as Parallel Motive, Aspekt has steadily woven himself into the fabric of one of Malta’s most defining electronic music gatherings. FR043 with @echofaze_ is finally out today on Fever Recordings ! 🧡 Excited about this release, which marks a new turning point in the label’s graphic art direction. Darren Abela, who plays under the alias of Echofaze, is a Maltese DJ and producer who has been DJing in clubs in Malta and Berlin for over 20 years. Dancing to every tune he plays, his physical presence behind the decks is unique. A pioneer in the local scene, his love for Techno, Groove and Hardgroove have seen him signed up as a resident at one of southern Europe’s most prestigious Techno festivals, Glitch. He’s also graced the decks in some of the most infamous clubs in Berlin, including Tresor and RSO. Echofaze also excels as a producer, mainly releasing hardgroove titles that have been becoming ever more popular with his peers. He’s currently releasing titles on many major labels, including Crises Of Man, Aura Tribale, Synergie and Xelima.
