I finished up these two umbilical cord cutting knives just after visiting with my hospice patient and had a lot of thoughts on the threshholds of life. I'm constantly in awe of how fast someone being born or someone dying can snap me back into the present moment and reminds me of how powerful love is, how it connects us all to eachother, and how it is the only thing that's important. Being born, dying, and the love we experience in between are the most psychedelic parts of life and state sanctioned violence and war make a total mockery of their sacredness. Resistance is taking good care of yourself so that you can also take care of the people around you. Resistance is being brave and talking about love as it comes up! Life is too short and delicate for love to be scary. Love will set you free.
