Last year I had the opportunity to lead a group of university students from North Carolina during a week of community work in Puerto Rico: from renovating houses affected by the hurricane, to maintenance of @elyunquenationalforest and my favorite which has visiting @fincaremedio an agroforestry farm located in the lush area of Utuado where we enjoyed the river, fresh cacao and golden milk produced with local turmeric.

Recuerdos de hace un año cuando decidí irme 2 semanas al Lago de Atitlán a tomar un curso de permacultura con un enfoque de cosmovisión maya en el @imapguatemala
De las cosas que más disfruté de este lugar fueron los colores; la riqueza en la diversidad en la naturaleza, cultura y costumbres de las comunidades de los distintos pueblos que rodean al lago.
Qué especial el color del amaranto, los altares de Maximón, la amabilidad de las personas, los viajes en lancha, muchos recuerdos especiales.

Honoring the start of the late summer season with some photos from this season last year.
My adventurers parents decided to road-trip driving all the way from Mexico City to Alaska and back in 9 weeks. Luckily I was able to join them from Seattle to Tijuana, passing by beautiful national parks and nature spots along the way.
A lovely time surrounded by old and wise trees, morning dives in volcanic waters and trying local fresh produce

Las Cañadas es un Centro de Agroecología y Permacultura, en donde se encuentra una de las últimas islas de Bosque de Niebla de la zona central de Veracruz.
