Here, this liturgical gesture of typing and swipingโlike pretending that someone is holding my hand to stroke my own face, in the same breath it takes to tell you that the library at @galerija.mk opened last week. It was such a delight of books flying off the shelves while we gave each other communion via @hanja_delights offerings. Thank you for this dear evening

And now from tomorrow and until May 25th, I'll be there every Wednesdays and Saturdays between 12 and 8pm. There will be new titles to borrow and more stories to tell

Progress is a cult and technology is a matter of faith. Is there still a meaningful difference between virtual and physical interactions? What is mysticism under the convergence of technology and governance reengineering everyday life?
For the next three weeks I'll be researching and discussing the topics of devotion, obsession and devotion. A triptych encompassing iconography and the sacramental, leakage and the horny and the cultural and ideological infrastructures that normalise technologyโs power.
Join me to examine the visible and the invisible, self-abandonment and love, the irresistible gifts of techno-facism, the relentless upgrades towards self-optimisation, and to question the means with which images lend a tireless ear to the feverish ramblings of existence
When @fettesans asked us to contribute to the opening of the Library at @galerija.mk on the topic of devotion, idolatry and obsession, we had no doubt. Popcorn.
"We spent our childhood summers obsessed with books, sometimes even going to the library twice a day, finishing a book each time. Weโd often stay at our grandparentsโ house, just outside the city: green, open, surrounded by fields and forest, a place that felt like freedom.
Grandma always made popcorn for us,
sometimes in multiple batches. It became a staple, something weโve stayed obsessed with ever since. Now we play with it ourselves, experimenting with flavors and even colors.
Today, they sit on the table like a book.
Enjoy reading. Enjoy eating."
Four flavours, four colours:
white salt
tumeric
paprika
caramel
This was incredibly fun to make and arrange. Visit Fette's Library throughout May, borrow some books, talk, print.
Thank you for supporting our obsession, Fette. ๐ฟโฅ๏ธ
The first of two 2026 editions of the Open Studio program brings a temporary transformation of GMK through a process-oriented artistic residency.
Join us next Tuesday, April 28th, from 6pm to 9pm, at GMK for the opening of the programme!
Fette Sans is a conceptual artist whose films, performances, writings, and installations explore how reality and desire are mediated by images, particularly via screens โ what do the residues of an image look like? What constitutes a memory?
With her practice, she explores the condition of being and belonging, the relationships between labor, gender, and the image, and the evolution of these notions under capitalism.
Between April 28th and May 25th, she will convert GMK into a free and open library โ a place for conversations on the topics of devotion, idolatry and obsession, a place to borrow books and to print the ones we canโt afford, the lost ones, the ones to gift a lover, adorned with notes and drawings made just for them.
Drop by GMK to meet Fette on Wednesdays and Saturdays in May โ stay tuned for more info!

The program is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the City of Zagreb.

There's a tag on my tumblr (๐) that reads #oculolinctus where I un-frequently archive matters of the eye. A place where I'll eventually make a post about finding out that the verb enucleateโthe act of removing the nucleus/pit of a fruit/eye, has its origin in the act of explaining, made clear, evident
Or to take out the eye/I and become filled with a new sense of affirmation, รชtre rempli/filled (again) by the gaze of abjection

In a few weeks I'll take over @galerija.mk in Zagreb, turning it into a free and open library in progress, a place for conversations on the topics of devotion, idolatry and obsession, a place to borrow books and to print the ones we can't afford, the lost ones, the ones to gift a lover, adorned with notes and drawings made just for them
Come visit me and if you know how to ask, I'll even read to you out loud
You often see that John Waters line about going to someone's home and them not having books and it's often misquoted when what he talks about is withholding yourself until you've shown a lover your own desire through the books you carry trouble for
So I'll close this with Sherman Alexie who spoke these words in Baltimore on September 24, 2011:
