Come and explore our 100-acre grounds as we search for hidden mini creatures, discover nature and experience outdoor learning the Fettes way.

One race. Multiple islands. Mountains, sea navigation and endurance pushed to the limit.
At noon today, our Headmaster of Fettes Prep, Charlie Minogue, and Mr Marshall, one of our Graduate Assistants along with the Fettes team set off in the Scottish Islands Peaks Race - one of UK’s toughest adventure races.
Over the weekend, they will sail and run across Scotland’s west coast, tackling 160 nautical miles and 60 miles of running.
An incredible challenge of resilience, teamwork and determination.
We’ll be following the journey from start to finish.

Hive visited the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh for a Teddy Bear Trail.
We learnt all about what a bear needs to survive in the wild S.W.A.F = Shelter, Water, Air and Food
We explored the gardens looking for clues to find Edward the Bear as well as playing games along the way and building our own islands for bears.
We finished our trip with a Teddy Bear picnic in between the beautiful flowers.

From snakes to spiders to fascinating critters, ZooLab UK brought the wild to Fettes Prep 🐍🕷️🦎
ZooLab educates through ethical animal encounters and our pupils across The Hive, Year 2 and M year group loved getting up close with some incredible creatures, asking brilliant questions and showing the curiosity of budding young naturalists everywhere.
Celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s turning 100 this week, perhaps we were looking at the next generation of wildlife storytellers and conservation champions in the making.

Bringing this Fettes Prep production of MATILDA to life has been an inspiring process, led by a talented and passionate team working tirelessly to realise every element of the show. From technical rehearsals to final adjustments, it has been a genuine collaboration between staff and pupils.
This production reflects the energy, commitment and enthusiasm of everyone involved, and celebrates the power of our young pupils performing.
