You are beloved Skye, thank you so much….So grateful for the love and vision she brought into many people’s lives. To be in her orbit was wondrous: generous with her time and passionate plotting; oh, and plating that was heavenly.
She was such a support, a mellifluous speaker and advocate for the soil with Jane
@fernverrow Such a joy to work with her. Whenever I checked in with my
@heckfield_place team whether they needed me, she’d pipe up from her corner: “Always”… and
@porteliotfestival thanks to the generosity of
@cathystgermans and later through work for
@made_thought thanks
@fonemark . Put simply, her philosophy was always about doing the work… at 110 percent.
Skye gave away her books (she knew journalists’ pay) and pushed for writers to be paid properly. I’m sharing the last time we chatted at her London home this spring for Monocle on the last post, trigger warning, and her thoughts about how crazy busy the cooking and growing life was… and about doing something good. What a legacy.
God, I’ll miss her and glad she knew just how much she meant to us all. So wonderful today to be with
@cathystgermans on the North Shore where we will honour her beautiful life.
See you down the road, Skye 💚💚💚
