Chris has been hard at work building two more of his custom subwoofers, so we'll have even more low end support for this one. Every gig we try to add something new or tweak things in a slight imperceptible way to make the experience even better.
Peter was crucial in helping us install the soundsystem in Treehouse, featuring his well-loved white speakers, originally rescued from some mystery club in Syracuse many years ago. We are super happy to have him back in town to rock with us! The scene is continually lifted up by these small acts of generosity and community. It means so much to have you all showing up and enjoying the space! Thanks, yall!

Spring is in the air! We are only one week away from our next show with Yan David and Oliver L, so we thought it would be a good time to let you know this season's forecast. We've arranged 4 awesome shows for you with extra special bookings. We are so lucky to be able to bring these artists to an intimate venue like @treehouseithaca ! We expect each show to build on the energy of the last, culminating in an unforgettable season finale.

Thank you for supporting us! Forest City Soundsystem began as a personal project born out the Microtones collective. I wanted a way to do more shows at the Lodge and document my modest soundsystem journey, but when that space became unavailable due to repair issues, we had to pivot. When one door closes, another one opens. I'm so thankful to Michael and Hayden for trusting us with such a beautiful and warm space. In these times it's important that we organize, build community, and support one another. Take care of your local venues and creative spaces so that we can take care of you. Nothing lasts forever. Now is the time we must create tomorrow's scene legend. I hope you will join us.
-Chris
Earth Day is full of ironies. We post pictures of heavenly sunsets and of mornings when the grass looked greener than we remember. We hold these moments close while corporations and the state work overtime to erase their memory. Our habits vacillate in and out of the cognitive dissonance required to exist, and it is exhausting. But when trash starts piling up on the side of the road, it is somehow your fault --- my fault.
It isn't. Love the Earth. Fight for it, always.
