Just like on Sunday, we’re doing it again today. We’re looking forward to dancing with you at Pride at 6:00 PM at Rådhuspladsen Mainstage 🤩🫶🏼💃🏼 It will be hot, lit and sasssyy <333 #pride @copenhagenpride
Pride is not just another week for me. This festivity allows us to be the way we are without any shame. I’ve grew up being bullied for being gay even when I was not even sure who I was. Later in life I had to see how many gay people were killed, bitten and reduced in their rights. In societies like Malawi , Uganda people cannot been tested cause they could go to jail for been suspected of have HIV. How do we convert and take all of that and make something positive out of it? That’s why we are conducting this workshops with Sarah cause dance and music are universal languages that we can all talk and be part of. That unite us. In such a divided and polarized world 🌎 dance unite us. I’m extremely happy that we are holding this workshops during Pride.
The first picture is me 5 years ago, just arrived to CPH, not speaking danish and having 2 friends. The latest video is me and Sarah ready to tackle our first workshop on Sunday. This me is performing at the main stage in Rådhuspladen. This new me is taking chances, making mistakes, being fucking brave, trying out and discovering. Thank you Denmark 🇩🇰 for allowing us to show and be however we are.
