Fun fact: although I have a musical theatre degree and I love to sing, I’ve always been insecure about my voice. As musical theatre actors, we are constantly told we’re not good enough at acting and that our voices are “too clean” to be interesting to listen to outside of a musical. This is why the work @tommyoakley and I did with “Break My Heart” means so much to me. It felt so good to be able to connect with a more raw side of my voice. To focus more on the emotional journey, rather than the perfect vocals! Hope you like this track as much as I do 🫶🏽

I began writing “Show Me” me one night while falling asleep. The chorus popped into my head and I had to get up and write it down before it left my memory.
I wrote the rest of the song in 15 minutes, three days later. As of right now, this is the piece that most of you seem to like the most. Of course, it was the magic of @tommyoakley that really helped bring it to life, but I find it very interesting how sometimes the best product doesn’t come from the art you obsessed over as much. Sometimes the more honest, vulnerable and genuine pieces, will shine over those you’ve spend years trying to perfect.
I’m very proud of this song! I took some really hurtful experiences and turned them into a dance track. A great way to deal with pain if you ask me. This is my “Chromatica” moment, I guess.
