Durante julio nos reunimos para cosechar nuestra segunda temporada de lluvias. Un latido y método de nuestra colectiva es que creamos a partir de seguir aprendiendo juntas. Este verano, de la mano de la artista textil y maestra artesana Liliana Filomeno
@tayol.elorigende , ampliamos nuestra sensibilidad de las plantas tintóreas de las montañas que rodean San José Cuacuila, nos clavamos contando hilos con la técnica tradicional de hacer madejas en Hueyapan, nos facinamos con las tonalidades de la grana cochinilla, y con los azules profundos y los aromas dulces de la miel nos volvimos nietas de la misma abuelita de añil.

During July, we gathered to harvest our second rainy season. One of the core values and methods of our collective is that we create by learning together. This summer, with the collboration of textile artist Liliana Filomeno
@tayol.elorigende , we expanded our knowledge of the dye plants in the mountains surrounding San José Cuacuila, we immersed ourselves in counting threads using the traditional technique of making skeins in Hueyapan, we were fascinated by the shades of cochineal, and with the deep blues and sweet aromas of honey, we became granddaughters of the same añil-indigo granny.
