Despite what you’ve been told, life can be all burritos and negronis my friend. Feels really great being back in the bay. Grateful for the homies who are still here. Excited about the new connections being made. Only on the days that I miss the taco truck or decide to change my drink order do I feel the weight of existence. Otherwise, everything’s coming up OZI. Art’s coming along. Goal for the year: 40 new new paintings by August. Step one is to stick to a strict diet (see above) and no cheat days. Also, you know, paint the paintings.

I’ve had it in the works for a bit putting a little poetry zine together and was hoping to have friends doodle something to showcase them, but also something to go with the poem - originally. Well, it turns out that it’s hard to wrangle artist. Because they’re being artist, which is one of the many reason I love them. Ended up I’m gonna do it myself. HOWEVER: this must be seen. my boy Ooze got back to me with this absurdly great piece for it (literally told him something small and of course he doesn’t because that’s who he is as an artist - he puts his whole ass in it and it’s super fucking annoying ha) Aside from it’s beauty alone I actually wrote it about him back over 10 years ago and it’s so lovely that we can reconnect and that he can make something gorgeous out of what was a hard time for us both. Reconnecting as past lovers, friends, and artist has been one of the most rewarding things about growing older. Being proven that the cliché “never say never” is a cliché for a reason. FOLX! Here’s my piece for this Sunday’s celebration for @math_punks_thugs_vandals anniversary show! All proceeds go to his fam and any piece that doesn’t sell gets raffled off. Went for a sketchbook style piece of how I think MATH would’ve been feeling this year. Letters have never been my strength so I hope I’m not offending real writers out there. The character design is based off of videos by @methodmade . Special shout out to @ptvcrewforever Happy to be showing with all these talented artists, except for (REDACTED), and to have an event where we can all gather in remembrance of Trin. Good morning! Happy new lunar new year new to y’all! I’m in Sacramento these days! LA had a lot of beautiful ppl and connections but unfortunately the housing was tense and I could no afford to stay with the wage I was making. All good tho! Now I’m closer to home and been popping up whenever I can get a chance. Thank you to all the folx that have made the transition easier. Excited to reconnect and make new connections. What am I doing for a J O B?? I took on a job as a live in care provider for my friend of 20 years. He’s a quadriplegic and very skilled at inventing items that help him pursue his artistic passions. He taught me photography way back when so if y’all are annoyed about me constantly asking to do shoots, this is the man to blame. Still doing art, shoots, rope and kinky shit! LA really helped me get that creative fire back. Planning on a big bday art show this summer. I got my studio space in Richmond back so I actually have the space to bring these ideas to fruition. What of my bigoted mother you ask? My mom apologized and we reconciled to the point where she’s renting out studio space to me. Moms be mom-ing. It’s insane watching her defend other queer folx but when it comes to me it’s all bad. She trying tho so I give her points for that Let me know of any shows, events, or hangs y’all are doing and I’ll try and make it out. Excited doesn’t cover how I feel about being back(ish). It’s only been a year but I have so many questions: who’s hooking up with who? Who’s down to get tied and do a shoot?? What should I check out while I’m in Sac??? Are burritos still good out here????
