Itâs important to credit @fentcheck for inspiring and supporting our work. Theyâve built the model for this work in the US and our goal is to continue their vision in so-called âCanadaâ.
Our Mission:
1. We organize to prevent accidental overdose and death caused by drug adulterants such as fentanyl within our communities.
2. Primarily, we distribute life-saving resources like fentanyl test strips to places related to nightlife and social spaces; where many overdoses occur.
3. By putting free test strips in the locations where people are using drugs, we aim to help people survive the night.
4. Rampant capitalism and individualism have left our communities without access to adequate healthcare. We recognize this failure and understand we must self-organize to fill these gaps. We keep us safe.
5. We aim to reduce the stigma around drug testing by partnering with cultural institutions and community leaders. Advocacy is central to our work.
It has been just over a month since Fentaware's annual Enfold fundraiser and we wanted to extend a thank you to everyone involved in making it a tender night; artists, contributors, volunteers, and everyone in attendance.
As you may have heard, the remainder of the Supervised Consumption Sites are scheduled for closure. Harm reduction saves lives, and these closures are a direct attack on vulnerable community members.
Fentaware is a grassroots collective of volunteers who advocate for the destigmatization and support around community members using substances. We provide testing strips, testing kits, n@1oxone kits, injec+!0n kits, plus other supplies, and we do not profit off of the work we do.
For our mission to be sustainable, we accept donations via the link in our bio or by e-transferring [email protected]. If you are curious about having Fentaware supplies at your next event, feel free to reach out through email or DM to discuss what we offer.
with love, Fentaware xoxo
⨠! TONIGHT⌠BRING YOUR OWN PILLOWS ! â¨
Oh, enfolding nostalgia, we canât wait to be together in tenderness again... Ambient Night is an otherworldly chance to reset and recharge, our bodies and our intentions đˇ
Last year, your contributions to fentawareâs GoFundMe raised just over $1,000 to support harm reduction in our community. Weâre still putting those sacred offerings to work: We are assembling and distributing party kits with DanceSafe testing supplies, and paying experienced harm reduction advocates to provide free overdose response training to fentawareâs network of volunteers.Â
Join us this year! Come thru, donate if you can, and help us keep this care in motion. Bring your own pillows, blankets, and plushie friends, whatever you need to be comfy đ§¸âď¸

Weâre proud to announce that @fentaware will now also be tabling at tonightâs event at St. Stephen-in-the-Fields.
Fentaware is a group of community organizers and harm reduction activists, working to reduce accidental overdoses and drug-related deaths by increasing access to harm-reduction resources in social spaces. They distribute life-saving resources like fentanyl test strips to bars, clubs and social spaces, publicizing these locations so people know where they can find them.
Give them a visit at their table to learn more or get involved!
Calling all art and dancing freaks! We are soo excited to announce our partnership with @artshownearme . Art Show Near Me (ASNM) is a Toronto-based underground community platforming spaces for art and electronic music. An early supporter of fentaware, you can expect to find harm reduction supplies on site at future ASNM events!
We are so excited to announce one of our first fentaware partners: @houndstoothto !
Now youâll be able to access fentanyl test strips, informational pamphlets and other life saving resources directly at Houndstooth. Find our kit downstairs on the way to the bathroom and help yourself to whatever you need. Available whenever theyâre open đ
We are so proud to partner with Houndstooth as they set the standard for harm reduction in Torontoâs nightlife scene âĄď¸
