It’s Time for Meaningful Change! Please check out @enigma_props_la for my Prop business with my great friends and also my Ceramics account @fenderpot which will be populated in the near future. These are my endeavors I will focus on, and I am reclaiming my time to do what I want to meaningfully do in my life. Goodbye to regular use of this platform, but I will check occasionally.
Today was a big day with only making a small pot. However, making this pot in my personal space that was completely built and funded by myself was a real challenge. This place took a lot of my time and attention and when I first started this, I was going through a real tough personal challenge that only could’ve been managed by having this project for myself to do and keep my mind at work rather than wander. This space of mostly seclusion brought me many lessons to learn and I’ve improved over time. It’s my personal studio... but much more than that to me. It is no longer a place of seclusion, it is a place to gather and enjoy the present moment that life brings. I encourage you, especially if your mind is scattered, to pick up some clay and try to focus only on one thing: what is in front of you. I assure you you will feel at ease and have a moment of peace in a chaotic world. Come say hello sometime.
Remembering the long nights making pots and getting to use this glaze that can’t be repeated. I started to lose sight of this as life became busy once more, however @ms.squishberry captured the little details renewing my gratitude for making. Hope to share more in the coming weeks with you all.
Hello everyone, long time no scroll! I’ve been trying out going on this app once a month and it’s been really great for me. I’d recommend it if you’re ever asking yourself: where did the day go? Anyway, these pots here were the latest creation and a collaborative effort in working with some underglazes I recently got and had @ms.squishberry try out some color on our vessels. Pretty happy with how things turned out! The end of 2020 had some pleasant surprises and I feel optimistic about this year despite what you may be hearing out there. I’ll try going back on this platform twice a month but for anyone wanting a faster response, feel free to call or text me đź¤
Made some chucks yesterday to help me trim off shapes like vases. Trimmed a few chucks, a cup, bowl, and vase. Just a process video for you all to virtually hang out when I work.
