@chatien__ was a dream. I miss those hot summer days of loading film and brains into glass jars. The idea for this video spawned from
@shoe______other_shoe song. When Chinese people have seen the film, they say I captured a bygone era of Shanghai that Wong Kar Wai hoped to catch in his TV series Blossoms Shanghai, but wasn't able to. I attribute that to the authenticity
@kodak_shootfilm attributes to the image, the use of real vintage clothing, shooting in and around unrenovated buildings from the 1920s, and the use of picture vehicles powered by gasoline (a dying breed in SH).
