Highlighting Environmental Degradation and Natural Disasters, Fena Basafiana Releases a Double Single Titled “Hancur di Ketinggian”
Every day, people are bombarded with news of destruction and natural disasters on social media. This situation arises from economic development that disregards ecological balance. The most recent disasters felt were the floods and landslides in Sumatra. These disasters have claimed many lives and destroyed homes. How do those affected feel? How painful is it? How devastating? Even we, who only witness these events through our phone screens, can feel the sorrow.
Fena Basafiana attempts to explore these feelings through a double single titled “Destroyed at the Heights.” In the first song, Fena portrays a figure who regrets having been lulled by the rulers’ promises of a prosperous life and realizes just how magnificent and perfect the destruction wrought by the rulers truly is. In other words, the rulers have created this destruction in a highly calculated manner. In the second song, this figure enters a stage of acceptance. As they witness the destruction coming from all directions, they try to figure out why all of this could happen and end so tragically.

Diagon Alley! Bagaimana rasanya berada di Hogwarts Castle?
Aku seketika teringat Papaku. Waktu SD, Papaku yang mengenalkan kumpulan film Harry Potter dan kami menontonnya bersama. Seketika pula segalanya meluap bersamaan dengan air mata yang tumpah tak tertahankan. Kurasakan, meskipun Papaku telah lama berpulang, tumpuan dan kasih sayangnya terus berkelindan di setiap langkahku yang kadang terasa berat. Betapa kehebatan Allah menyeimbangkan segala bentuk; ia menyamarkan kesukaran dengan keberkahan-Nya.
Maka, rasanya berada di Hogwarts Castle adalah syukur (dan tentunya seru!). Di tengah tantangan hidup, tidak ada nikmat Allah yang bisa didustakan.
