🧚 Come work with us! @blushblood__ is hosting our May Enableton session <3
Whether you're an Ableton pro or just starting out, join us at this month's edition of Enableton, an Ableton coworking session. We'll be at FCCW for a 3-hour session of new collaborations, serendipitous knowledge sharing or focused individual work — it's totally up to you! Attendees are not required to come for the entire session, but will be required to bring their own laptop with Ableton installed and a pair of headphones.
Feminist Synth Lab prioritizes all marginalized genders, including but not limited to trans women, cis women, trans men, non-binary, intersex, gender nonconforming, two-spirit and questioning folx. We ask that our cis male allies and friends respectfully do not sign up, as we recognize that electronic music is overwhelmingly dominated by cis men.
🎹 Got an issue with a piece of gear? Want to hang out and work on music with your synthesizers or drum machines? This event is all about bringing out your hardware, learning together, sharing what you're working on — sign up in bio!
Come by 7th Street Collective in Long Beach on Sunday, May 17, 2–4:30PM to join other Feminist Synth Lab community members working with hardware synthesizers. This session is designed for coworking and/or troubleshooting and perhaps even showing each other your gear/music process.
You MUST bring your own headphones, we will not have enough for everyone to share. Please also bring any power supplies necessary to work with your gear. This is your sign to finally sit down with that synth you've been avoiding!

🎛️ Have a project that just needs polishing for distribution, but don’t know where to start? Join us on Sunday, March 29, 3–5PM at FCCW for this Mixing Workshop, hosted by production duo, DoubleDate. This is a beginner-friendly, DIY approach to mixing that will offer insights into the practical and philosophical fundamentals of mixing. Register in bio!
Learn to use essential tools such as EQ, Compression, Reverb and Delay and how they are utilized in mixing a finished product. Primary examples will be showcased through Ableton and ProTools, but can be applied in any DAW. The workshop will include a slide discussion about mixing, a co-working activity mixing a multi-track of your own, and an open-discussion / Q&A with the organizers.
We encourage people who have their own sessions to bring your computer, headphones + DAW so you can mix your own song during the later half of the workshop, with guidance from the facilitators.
