NEW EXHIBITION | 'Remember What You Forgot' presents Aleksandra Karpowicz’s reflections on the lived experience of illness and recovery, questioning the identities we inherit, accept, or are forced into. Moments of uncertainty open up space for reconnecting with inner peace, where attention shifts from imposed narratives toward our place in the presence. The exhibition showcases Karpowicz’s proposition that beneath every diagnosis lies the irreducible condition of being human. The exhibition centres around a new film by Aleksandra Karpowicz. Please join us on the 24th April from 6pm for the private view with a screening of 'Remember What You Forgot' at 7pm. RSVP through the @felsteadart bio. The exhibition ‘Remember what you forgot’ has been developing over the last three years through cancer diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and everything that shifted internally during that time. Only at the end of the process did I begin to understand what the works were really about. Some of you said you’d like to spend more time with the exhibition and hear the stories behind the artworks, so we’re now organising a series of private tours at @felsteadart where I’ll speak more personally about the process behind the show. ARTIST TOUR: Saturday 16 May, 2–3pm, Tuesday 19 May, 7–8pm Wednesday 27 May, 7–8pm Link in bio. I would be delighted to see you there. With love, A. 📸 @teodora.andrisan

Thank you to everyone who came to the opening of my exhibition ‘Remember What You Forgot.’ I’ve been deeply moved by the presence of so many of you, the tears, the conversations, the kind words, and the openness with which people shared their own stories and experiences. It was honestly one of the most memorable moments of my life. Many of you couldn’t make the opening, and some who did said they’d love to spend more time with the work and go deeper into the stories behind it. Because of that, we’re organising a series of artist tours at Felstead Art where I’ll speak about the artworks, the process of creating the exhibition, and what was happening underneath the surface during those three years. Free booking via link in bio. Saturday 16 May, 2–3pm Tuesday 19 May, 7–8pm Wednesday 27 May, 7–8pm With love, A. ——— Remember what you forgot @felsteadart Curated by @michael_wormack 24 Apr - 13 June

The snake sheds its skin when it becomes too tight. It doesn’t hold on or try to repair it, but leaves it behind and continues forward. The process is slow and exposing, but necessary. Growth comes through release. Very much looking forward to seeing you on Friday at the opening of my exhibition REMEMBER WHAT YOU FORGOT @felsteadart Event Schedule for the 24th April - Drinks Reception 6pm-7pm - Private View 7pm-9pm - Film Screening 7:30pm ❤️ 📸 @thomashensherartphotography
