For four weeks, we bring together 23 european Instant-Photographers to celebrate the first Issue of polapeoplefestival and show their diverse works side by side.
The vernissage offers the opportunity to talk to the artists and to understand the creative processes behind the pictures.
At the latest when visiting the @lightart_museum , the last camera will flash and, as befits an independent bookstore, @buchhandlung_hornung provides a decent selection of photography-related literature to browse and linger.
@hutfabrikofficial and the local @fotoclubunna will join with the props for a special portrait shoot, some rental cameras and discreet handmade music by @timoreuber round off the evening.
The whole Event will be documented by @txmo.vxgt and streamed LIVE as well, so:

"the pursue of the truth"
I've always believed in the importance of pursuing the truth instead of pursuing happyness in life. Happyness without truth is just a fake image of what we think we should follow. In her last days even my mom had realized that from where she stood many things that she considered important were completely meaningless.
In the place where she is now she knows exactly the truth that each of us can only imagine. Many would fear it, but that's the only way!

"Dancing with the neptune", Bologna, Italy.
When I started doing lightpainting on Polaroid I soon realized that I was creating an entire new reality in my mind, that I could visit every time I wanted.
Once I was at a funeral and the priest said "God has built a place for the people that have lived in which he is saving all the good that people have done in life... There will come a time when all the actions they have done in life will be visible to everybody."
Well I guess that this is the purpose of the place I'm building with my lightpainting, and the Polaroid is acting as a windows and a portal to this other reality.

"Sissy" was my mother's favourite character. The Long dresses, just as in Disney's tales... She would have liked to be a princess, and in the place I'm building she can finally be one!

"The other way"
My mom has always been what you can call a conformist, someone who would adapt her taste to what "the society" would consider "normal". In her view I was a complete "disaster" at being like the other girls and I always thought she hated it... But in her latest days I understood that what I mistakenly perceived as hate was an hidden aspiration. In the place I'm building for her, she can finally be who she wanted.

"Amelia goes to Naples".
We learned that my mom was sick in 2016, when she was in intensive care unit for roughly a month. Se never went back to full ricovery and she was under home oxygen therapy since then. She always regretted not being able to go back to Naples... But in the place I'm building for her, she can.
