🔥 Gratitude Rooted in Liberation and Community Our Sweet 16 Celebration wasn’t just a party; it was a moment to reflect on what it means to organize, to win, and to hold space for liberation. We honor the shoulders we stand on—the resilience and vision of Indigenous and Black communities that have paved the way for us. And as part of these communities, we know that our fight is deeply connected to their ongoing struggles for sovereignty, freedom, and justice. 💥 Gratitude, for us, is revolutionary. It’s about building together, celebrating our wins, and pushing forward for a liberated future. Thank you to our youth, families, and allies for showing up and continuing to dream with us. Swipe for highlights, and read the recap in our blog (link in bio!) #Sweet16 #BlackLiberation #YouthOrganizing

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, so we’re handing the mic to the students. 🎤 This week, FEEST Student Organizers are sharing “Our Campaign for Wellness Rooms: A Student Activist Story,” a youth-written article about how students organized for mental health support across SPS and HSD. 💜 From surveys and campaign kickoffs to Wellness Rooms and school board meetings, this story is about what happens when students lead the way. 📝✨ Big love to FEEST Student Organizer, Eva, for creating the powerful header illustration for the article! 🎨 Read it this week via the link in our bio. Student voice is the blueprint.

Last week’s Youth Safety Circle brought community members together to imagine safer and more supportive schools. Through circle conversation and community mapping, we reflected on where safety is already being built, what can be uplifted, and how it can continue to grow in our schools and neighborhoods. Thank you to everyone who shared, listened, and helped create this space. Hosted by @feestseattle , @wa_bloc , @ichoose180 , and SESEC in connection with the Keep Your Promise Coalition. . . . #restorativejustice #seattlepublicschools #southeastseattle

WE’RE CELEBRATING THIS ONE BIG 🍎🎉✨ Starting in fall 2026, Seattle Public Schools will provide free meals for every student. 🥳🍽️💚 This is huge. Free school meals mean fewer barriers, less stigma, and more students getting the food they need to learn, focus, and make it through the day feeling supported. 🌱📚 And this win has roots. FEEST Student Organizers have been advocating for free school meals for years, from ending school lunch debt to pushing for fresh, culturally relevant meals students actually want to eat. 🙌🏽🔥 A win like this reminds us what is possible when young people organize, name what they need, and keep pushing. 💪🏽🌟 Read the full blog at the link in bio! 🎊

What’s in the bag? 👀 It might look simple… just a brown paper bag. But inside, there’s a whole lot more. Fresh ingredients. Recipes rooted in culture and care. Student Organizers leading the vision. This spring, we’re inviting you to take a closer look at what young people are building across South Seattle and South King County. Our goal: 75 donors giving $30,000 by May 31st to keep our Meal Kit program going strong. Every gift helps fill the next bag and everything it carries! Because every bag is more than a meal. It’s connection. It’s learning. It’s community in action. Be part of what comes next! 🔗 Give through the link in our bio <3
