This is why we do the work we do. šŸ’› Our mission is rooted in supporting culture bearers like @bigchiefzeebo and @osceolaqueen of the @blackosceolas They carry and share tradition, history, and community. On Give NOLA Day 2025, you showed up for us in a powerful way. Because of your support, we can continue expanding our work, investing in our people, and preserving the culture that makes New Orleans what it is. We are deeply grateful to every donor, partner, and advocate who believes in this mission. This is bigger than us. This is about legacy. #givenoladay #fortheloveofculture #neworleans

There’s nothing like cultural professional development! šŸ’› Our staff had the opportunity to gain knowledge, wisdom, and memorable moments with @chiefjosephboudreauxjr of the Young Eagles Indian Tribe. Big Chief Joe also shared memorable stories and moments about Big Chief Bo Dollis Sr. and the legacy of culture in New Orleans. Through storytelling, culture, and lived experience, he shared lessons that can’t be learned from a textbook. If you would like to experience authentic cultural storytelling and learning experiences inspired by New Orleans culture, visit Feed the Second Line or email [email protected] šŸ’› #feedthesecondline #neworleans #culture

Today we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, aunties, godmothers, and women who continue to hold our communities together.🩷 The ones who made a way out of no way. Who loved loudly, sacrificed quietly, and always made sure everyone was fed. In New Orleans culture, mothers are more than caretakers. They are tradition keepers, storytellers, and the heartbeat of our families. Happy Mother’s Day from Feed the Second Line šŸ’› #mothersdayā¤ļø #feedthesecondline #neworleansculture #culturebearers

To everyone who donated, shared our mission, volunteered, or simply showed love this GiveNOLA Day Thank you. šŸ’› Your support means more than a donation. It means investing in culture and the people who carry it on their backs every day. Because of you, we’re able to continue honoring and uplifting New Orleans culture beyond the celebrations and into the lives of the community who keeps it alive. We’re grateful for every single one of you. #feedthesecondline #neworleansculture #givenoladay #culture

givenola.org/organization/feedthesecondline link in bio Culture doesn’t survive on its own. It’s carried by culture bearers who give their lives to it, and they shouldn’t have to do that alone. At Feed the Second Line, we make sure culture has what it needs. That means paid opportunities, real support in hard moments, and building something the next generation can stand on. We’ve seen elders struggle. We’ve seen young ones searching for a place to belong. That’s why this work matters. Today is about making sure culture bearers can keep going and these traditions don’t fade. If this city has ever touched you, this is your moment. Give today. Be part of the second line. #givenola #feedthesecondline

Our partners at @solaralt and @lagreencorps came to visit us today for a solar workshop and tour of our building and to check out the impact of our Get Lit, Stay Lit program on the community. We always love to share knowledge for the love of the culture. Thank you, Solar Alternatives and LA Green Corps, for giving us the opportunity to share what we love with you, and we can’t wait to see you all again at the cohort’s graduation. #fortheloveofculture #greenenergy #getlitstaylit #workshop

Yesterday was about giving a true icon his flowers while the spirit is high. šŸ¦…āœØ We gathered to celebrate Big Chief Monk Boudreaux of the Golden Eagles—a man who has paved the way and left an undeniable mark on our culture. Feed The Second Line was on the ground doing what we do best: pouring into our tradition keepers who give so much of themselves. Feed The Second Line made sure that culture bearers and community members had a meal during the celebration. Some came straight from work to show their respect, proving that we will always show up for the culture in any way possible. We are here to pour into tradition keepers coming together in unity to celebrate a legend who truly made his mark. āœŠšŸ¾šŸ„˜ #MonkBoudreaux #GoldenEagles #NewOrleansCulture #FeedTheSecondLine #TraditionKeepersrs

Week one of Jazz Fest ✨ Our CEO, Tinice ā€œTeeā€ Boudreaux, was parading with her Baby Doll group, the Creole Cutie Baby Dolls. Some of our board members were right there too. This picture says it all, leadership, culture, and community in one moment. And we’re just getting started. #feedthesecondline #culture #community #neworleansculture
