A very serious meeting taking place on the garden wall this morning.
Agenda:
⢠sniffing things
⢠staring into the distance
⢠absolutely no actual work getting done

A tiny fox?
A floppy little dog?
Maybe even an elephant with oversized ears š
One of the loveliest things about this workshop is that everyone leaves with something completely different. Thereās always a table full of personality by the end of the day, all made from wool and a little patience.
If youāve been wanting to try needle felting, this is such a lovely place to start. Small groups, friendly atmosphere, plenty of guidance, and a few happy hours spent making something by hand.
Weāve got 6 spaces left for this one in Hunmanby on Sunday 31st May š¤

Thereās something rather lovely about a simple little Bunny made from wool š¤
Soft ears, tiny paws, and that gentle handmade character that only needle felting seems to bring. This one has been carefully made by hand here in Yorkshire, slowly shaped from wool layer by layer until it started to come to life.
The quieter, traditional side of crafting will always be my favourite. No rush, no perfection, just making something thoughtful with your hands and enjoying the process along the way ā¤ļø
If youāve ever fancied trying needle felting yourself, thereās something very special about watching a little character appear from a handful of wool.
You can find more handmade felting and kits over on the website.

A tiny elephant peeking through the ivy this morning ššæ
Thereās something so lovely about photographing handmade pieces outdoors where they seem to come to life amongst the leaves and greenery. The soft wool textures, the gentle shape of those ears, and that slightly curious expression all feel even more special in natural light.
Needle felting has a wonderful way of slowing things down a little. Just wool, time, patience, and lots of tiny careful stitches with the needle until a character slowly starts to appear.
This little one definitely has plenty of personality already.

Soft ears, floppy paws, and a face full of personality š¶
This Floppy Dog workshop always seems to make people smile before the felting has even begun. Thereās something lovely about watching a bundle of wool slowly turn into a little dog with its own expression and character by the end of the day.
Perfect if you fancy trying something creative, meeting like minded people, or simply spending a few hours making something properly by hand.
Weāve now got just 5 spaces left for the workshop in Hunmanby on Sunday 7th June āØ

I think every garden needs a small felted dog hidden somewhere amongst the plants.
Not for any practical reason. Just because it improves things.
This one ended up surrounded by ivy this morning and suddenly looked as though it belonged there permanently, sitting quietly in the sunshine with that hopeful sort of expression dogs always seem to have.
The warm brown wool against all the glossy green leaves was far too nice a colour combination to ignore. One of those simple photos where nothing complicated is happening, but it still makes you stop for a second.

Orange wool against that mustard yellow background was never going to be subtle š¦
Iād only just finished this sleepy little fox before holding it up for a photo, and I still had bits of loose wool fluff stuck to my sleeves. That always feels like a good sign.
The curled tail ended up being my favourite part to make. It gives the whole piece that tucked up, properly asleep sort of shape, like itās found the warmest spot in the house and no oneās convincing it to move.
Needle felting bright colours like this is oddly satisfying. The more the wool is worked, the richer and softer the fox seems to become.
A very cheerful bit of orange for the feed today.

Have you ever fancied making your own little felted animal from scratch? š¦š¶
This workshop is all about choosing the animal youād love to create and bringing it to life one handful of wool at a time. Whether youāre drawn to woodland creatures, dogs, foxes, rabbits, or something completely personal to you, the day is shaped around your own creativity.
Thereās something very satisfying about sitting down with wool, slowing the pace a little, and watching a character gradually appear in your hands.
A lovely way to spend a Sunday in Hunmanby with tea, creativity, conversation, and plenty of felting inspiration around the table āØ
Only 6 spaces left for this one.

Wild Stout finding a bit of shade under the umbrella feels about right for today āļø
I took this photo out in the garden while the sun was hitting the hedge properly, and the whole thing ended up looking like some tiny woodland holiday scene. The bright green leaves, the faded little paper umbrella, the slightly windswept wool texture⦠it all suited him far more than I expected.
Heās definitely one of those felted animals that seems to develop his own personality halfway through making him. Slightly scruffy. Completely unbothered. Probably carrying snacks somewhere.
Not a bad way to spend an afternoon really.

Thereās something about tiny handmade creatures that makes people stop for a moment š
This little white mouse has been carefully needle felted by hand, right down to the soft pink ears and tiny red bow. Simple, sweet, and full of character.
The sort of piece that quietly sits on a shelf and makes you smile every time you walk past it.
I always love making these smaller woodland inspired animals. They feel wonderfully traditional and timeless, like something you might spot tucked away in an old craft shop or country cottage window.
If this little mouse has caught your eye, you can find more handmade felted creations over on the website š¤

We have had such beautiful weather lately, and this little rabbit has been making the most of it too āļøš
Sat out in the garden with that bright red scarf and those wonderfully long ears, it feels full of summer cheer and handmade charm. There is something about sunshine, flowers, and wool that just works so well together.
Days like these make everything feel lighter šæāØ
